See, WWE can barely manage it today with a roster who can do compelling longer matches despite the booking, you really wanna see a 15 minute Val Venis barnburner every week?THAT'S JUST WHAT THE FIRST HALF OF 1999 WAS ;-; The Choppy Choppy story would've been wilder, I'm sure.

In your house ground zero was a three hour ppv and that dragged,so a 3 hour raw without the excitement a ppv can build wouldn't of worked.

I would consider that time pre-Attitude. 1997 had a New Generation feel, but became more and more edgy as the year progressed. While not everything during that time was a success, they did try new things and weren't afraid to take chances, mainly due to the threat of having competition breathe down their neck. The "proper" Attitude Era, at least in my view, was from Wrestlemania XIV to Wrestlemania X-7. I still don't think a three hour RAW would work(at least full time) then though.

Fair enough, personally I consider the attitude era starting around the time of wrestlemania 13 but everyone has their own opinion of when it started.
