If he decides to become even a semi part time star, wrestling as much as Ronda or MJF then I think he can be a huge deal. The whole world hates him and he does a good job playing into it, making him a good heel. Maybe at some point he can become face with a redemption arc. He’d have to go to NXT first but I think he would have a bright future. Imagine him in a fued vs Bron Breakker

Dude doesn’t really bother me anymore. His brother seems to be the bigger tool, and Logan seems to have chilled just a little from his amazingly assholish earlier years. 🤷♂️

Eh, he isn't near as hated as his brother. His brother is the true mega heel while Logan, in wrestling terms, is actually seen as a face by the majority. He really changed from how he used to be.
WWE though made him a heel because they know how wrestling fans are and most celebrities especially younger ones with money, will be hated. Might as well turn him heel and run with it.

If he is portrayed as a spoilt rich kid, it could be decent.
If we are supposed to buy him as some sort of boxing badass, you can miss me with it.
Guy has "No Knockout" clauses in all of his "fights" for gods sake.

He's part of an alien culture that can't or won't split the product from the salesman (funnily enough, that is the epitome of a "classic" wrestler) and so, if I can't stand one, I also can't stand the other. I wouldn't buy a cure for cancer from him.

Logan may have proven himself to be a pretty bad boxer, but both the Paul brothers seem really good at the whole sports-entertainment (ugh) thing, they both know how to work a crowd and how to get media attention.
That said he's not gonna get me to watch WWE. I'm excited to see what Jake is gonna do next though, now that he's turned babyface against Dana White.

That said he's not gonna get me to watch WWE. I'm excited to see what Jake is gonna do next though, now that he's turned babyface against Dana White. God, the whole thing with Dana is pretty much the physical embodiment of The Onion's "The Worst Person you know made a Great Point" story. Like, I'd usually want both to lose but even from a PR perspective, wanting better pay for people who beat each other up to line White's pockets is not something I can hate. |

If anything, based on how that last Woodley fight did a couple tumbleweeds in terms of interest, I think the bloom’s coming off the “Logan Paul, Combat Star” rose faster than most would want to admit. WWE doing their damndest to overexpose him don’t help.

I mean, "getting fighters outside of their combat prime" was literally their tactic on getting Lesnar, Rousey and Velazquez (even though he was trying to be a wrestler who wasn't acting like an MMA guy so he's less so in this) so, like, it fits. |

It helped that he was in there with Rey who is really short, Dominik who seems more boy than man and Miz who has never been presented as much of a tough guy/threat but it didn't come across like fake looking that this outside celebrity was coming in and hanging with wrestlers. He had more physical presence than anyone in the ring and it looked completely believable for him to beat them up. Back in the day Ken Shamrock and Dan Severn weren't washed, they were still top names in the sport and winning fights but there was more money/fame to be had in pro wrestling in 97/98. That would never happen now. You're only leaving UFC prestige/money for wrestling now if you're past your prime, losing fights and not going to be getting the big fights anymore like Rousey/Lesnar/Velasquez/Dos Santos/Van Zant (although PVZ was more of a never was than a has-been compared to the others). |
