Looks cool but I'm so sick of these sad girl acoustic covers of old pop songs.

The updated plot info:
"After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia's life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it's only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice's name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem."

I would assume the tragedy is the death of Lydias father. I hope so as I really dont think we need more Jeffrey Jones.

I think the slowed down version of the song is appropriate here, one of the best uses of that trope to highlight the atmosphere
Ortega's someone I don't want to see reach the point of overcasting but her being Winona's daughter seems picture perfect here. Keaton, Winona, and O'Hara all also look fantastic and damn near ageless since the original
It'll all depend on the plot, I have some confidence with Burton on the project again, but we'll see how it goes. Trailer has me excited, and I hope Burton uses a lot of practical effects and dynamic sets, it's always something that helps his movies feel memorable.

His heads not small still. 0/5 stars Turns out it wasn't a good look for him.

Barbara Maitland threw hands with a Sandworm of Saturn, tamed it and let Lydia skirt by with a "C" on the science test.
Get her in this movie.

Saw one of the "Story By" credits was Seth Grahame-Smith who is the guy who wrote the "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" novel and screenplay.
I mean, he's done other things, but that's what immediately popped to mind when I saw his name at the end of the trailer. I wonder just how much he added to the plot for that credit.

The "story by" credit usually means the writer was replaced early on in the process, and that the bones of the plot are theirs but not a lot of anything else is.
