Was he called Nailz? Did he wear the prison getup? I've always wondered that. I know he did vs sting at slamboree but never saw anything about the dark matches I believe he was either called "The Prisoner" or "The Convict" but he came out in the exact same get-up if memory serves me correct.

Public Enemy vs. Masahiro Chono and the Great Muta on Nitro happened and it was as style clashingly bad as you would expect

The Rock and Austin vs. Hogan, Hall and Nash is a huge match that was just tossed off on Raw

As big as a moment it was, Diesel winning the belt from Bob Backlund sounds kind of odd if you think about it.

Anyone not an ECW original and Ballz Mahoney in his WWE run.

Anyone not an ECW original and Ballz Mahoney in his WWE run. It's surreal to go back and realize Miz's first real feud in WWE was against Mahoney. Definitely a case of a name from the late 90s and someone that would become a name in the early 2010s encountering each other in the aughts.

Anyone not an ECW original and Ballz Mahoney in his WWE run. Someone in the office must have really liked him because he was probably the most prominently booked original for awhile lol

The nWo's brief WWE run resulted in a few of these, some of which have already been mentioned.
The weirdest sounding one to me is Scott Hall v Crash Holly happening on Sunday Night Heat with Raven on commentary.
After years of anticipation the first nWo match on WWE TV was...Hall vs. Spike Dudley in a quick squash on Raw.
Most people remember the Big Daddy Bitch promo but it's kind of forgotten that there was an actual Rock v Nash match on Smackdown. That sounds like a pretty big match but they just threw it out there like nothing. At least Rock and Austin v the nWo was announced a week ahead of time and was the big main event of the Wrestlemania go-home show.

Scott Hall vs. Bradshaw being his final WWE feud is bizarre in retrospect too, his final WWE match being him, Big Show and X-Pac vs. Austin, Bradshaw and Ric Flair sounds like a randomly generated match lol

Some of those Survivor Series Showdown shows gave us some weird combos: 1989: Mr Perfect vs Butch, Ultimate Warrior vs Tully Blanchard, Ted Dibiase vs Smash 1990: Tito Santana vs Sgt. Slaughter, Kerry Von Erich vs Smash 1991: Roddy Piper vs Hercules (and they werent even on opposite sides at the Series!)

CM Punk and Eddie Guerrero Wilder still in that I think Eddie still had the mullet at the time, and Rey Mysterio in the same mask is unmasked.
