I mean, yeah, obvious double standard here. The justification for the Saudi shows is always "the people of the country do not deserve to be punished for the actions of their government." Which, I mean, is a fair enough argument. But the same holds true with Russia. Only thing this proves is that WWE's PR stance of doing the Saudi shows to "effectuate change" is complete bullshit. They only care about effectuating money and, right now, having any involvement in Russia is a good way not to do that. To be fair, a lot of companies are doing this. Honestly, Disney+, Netflix, and other services have no problem terminating their service for Russia, but for China? Yeah, it is purely PR and people can see through it. And honestly, the only reason for the termination has more to do with Visa, Master Card, and other Credit Cards not working anymore in Russia than standing for a cause. You know damn well they would not pull out if the cards were still working.

Also, you know, the countries that WWE and these other companies work in are currently sanctioning Russia for current world events, and not sanctioning China or Saudi Arabia or other countries you might want to think of.

And the logic with that goes into stuff we can’t talk about.

Although, I was throwing a little shade at their sportswashing PR campaign on behalf of the Saudi royal family.

I honest to god feel bad for all the Russians that don’t want shit to do with this war The problem is with their government, not their citizens. But when governments are bad actors, their citizens suffer … but the citizens of Ukraine are suffering far worse and that’s with whom I have sympathy.
