Nice. Now get Bam Bam in there. I can't believe he isn't already in there. I wonder who'd they get to induct him? Does LT have his shit together?

Good. Well deserved, always was. Wish he was still alive to have it.
His WWF run was spotty but had some good moments and matches - it's really the last year where he's jobber to the stars. But outside that, his WCW and NJPW runs are awesome and would get him in way anyway.
Sting would've been perfect for induction. But, Foley would be a good and likely easier Plan B.

His speech was good when he was doing the induction. Too bad we couldn't get his actual.

As far as posthumous inductions go, I think Earthquake is another guy who is long overdue.
Not just because he use to be apart of these forums back in the Wrestlecrap days. But for a big guy he was pretty damn good and was a decent heel as well.
There's a lot of guys who are sadly no longer with us that I think are overdue a HOF induction but I know they tend to only do one at a time so the wait is pretty long for some.

The fact he is in doesn't bother me, very well deserved.
The fact it's now really bothers me. It's like they were waiting for him to die before they did it. It's shockingly scummy behavior

Sadly, this isn’t the only Hall of Fame that does shit like this
Ron Santo was an obvious baseball hall of famer for years and it was so sad every year that he wouldn’t get the call to be inducted. He passed away and they inducted him the very next year.

I'm gutted.
His dying wish was to be inducted and they ignored him.

There is another big company now, so these legends have another place to possibly get a payday or show up. Going in the WWE Hall of Fame isn't as big a deal as it was, so it's not surprising that people who were begging to get in while he was dying are now good enough to go in.

Definitely bittersweet. The man came out and admitted he was on borrowed time. And I mean, I get it, it's the wrestling business, people are working all the time. But I just don't think Vader was one of those guys who would work someone about being at death's door, especially not for a $40 ring and 10 minutes of airtime. It evidently meant something to him to be inducted during his lifetime. So, it's f***ed up that they never did that.
I'm glad to see him go in, because Vader is a name that belongs in ANY wrestling hall of fame. I just wish he was around to see it.

He passed away and they inducted him the very next year. They did the same to Pat Burns in hockey. He was a 100% lock to go to the HOF but do to political hockey reasons, I’d mention them but don’t wanna start a thing here DM me if you wanna know, but he had about a year to live. He didn’t get the call. He went in after he passed. Disgraceful.

I wish WWE had inducted him when Sting was still with the company, because he would have been the perfect choice for the induction speech. Vader scared the heck out of me as a kid. The first wrestling magazine I ever read included an article on the Sting/Vader feud, highlighting an altercation between the two in which Sting threw everything he had at Vader, and it didn’t even faze the big man. Then Vader went on to totally annihilate him. And yet, there was something about Vader that I found pretty cool. I loved his entrance music; when that opening riff played you knew someone was in for a thrashing. I never watched WCW during the time of Sting/Vader. I could see their styles and characters playing off each other incredibly well, though. Were their matches and feuds everything they should have been?

Yep, no matter what Sting threw at him, nothing ever seemed to even phase Vader but despite it Sting refused to ever back down or give up as he kept trying to take down the behemoth.

Impressively brutal.

Definitely deserves it, I've watched his matches from WCW and Japan, he was amazing in his prime.

The man practically begged them to put him in while he was alive and Vince intentionally left it till he was gone.
Vince is a bad man.

He passed away and they inducted him the very next year. Same for Ken Stabler with football. I've followed both baseball and football halls for 20 years and it seems like a regular thing to induct a guy not long after he dies or not long before he dies so he's too ill to do a speech and really enjoy the weekend or any return trips. Vader's case with inducting Stan Hansen is like Buck O'Neil who many thought to be a lock in 2006 for the Negro League vote, many others were inducted and because of his status as ambassador he had to do the speech. He died not long after that.
