Seems as if AEW is using the aftermath of Revolution to reset a huge portion of their roster. On Dynamite we had...
-End of Inner Circle + formation of Jericho Appreciation Society -FTR firing Tully Blanchard -Hangman disassociating with the Dark Order -Regal / Danielson / Moxley stable begins -Dissolving of AHFO + Hardy Boyz reunion -Wardlow splitting with the Pinnacle, turning on MJF -New TNT Champion, PVZ officially signs
So much has happened, and it feels like a lot more can still change. I think this spring is going to be a transition period to rev up for, hopefully, a white hot summer. A lot of acts needed to be freshened up a bit. Glad they are doing it.

This is a really good time to shake things up imo. A lot of new and fresh developments, and some of them were VERY unexpected like FTR turning face
I'm very hyped because it doesn't feel like it's slowing down, Rosa has potential to bring a new era to the women's division in a week too

I like it, I feel like A LOT of promotions stagnate and could do with a hard reset from time to time.

I said it in the rating thread reminded me a post mania raw. Everything changes. Turns, title changes, debuts oh my!

Yeah as I was watching I thought this felt like a reset show, which isn't a bad thing. Things, I don't want to say got stale, just seemed like in a state of limbo so this was a nice change of pace.

If spring's gonna be contract signing time with the budget getting finalized, it'd also be a good time to shake up the factions and such too.

Kind of reminds me of old WWF after Mania.

Interesting that Revolution ended up feeling like a "season finale" show instead of Double or Nothing or All Out.
I guess circumstances helped in that regard. Cody leaving (and the Codyverse with him) in particular felt like a good catalyst to shake things up and start new creative ideas.

Somehow I missed the FTR thing. What happened there?

I like the idea that each of the big 4 PPVs get stuff that in other companies would be reserved for the one singular Big Yearly Event, All Out had Punk's return/Bryan and Cole's arrival/Bucks downfall, Full Gear had Hangman/Omega, and now Revolution was like a season finale. DoN has the first PPV distinction and Cody did refer to it as their WM so I'm curious to see how they're gonna handle it if it's a "season premiere" PPV of sorts.

Yeah, it does remind me of the old Raws after mania where Mania was the season finale... and then we go into the what happened next phase... granted that hasn't really happened in years at this point.

It also dawned on me that after Dax trended for that very emotional and heartfelt discussion he had about his struggles with depression, that FTR probably weren't gonna be heels for very much longer, especially when you bore your soul like he did and so many people could relate to it
That's a guy you wanna fight with, root for, so it was a good move.

Saw this in the fightful stream last night and think it fits, That was the best post Mania Raw in a long time.
But also AEW does tend to do resets after their PPVs (bonus of having only 4) and they always have a special Dynamite ever so often (Beach Break, St Patrick Day's Bash, Road Rager, Winter is Coming, ect) so this does help things feel fresh. Now have they done a reset THIS big? I don't believe so

Last time the company felt this refreshed and reinvigorated was the Dynamite where they went back to touring last summer. Malakai Black's debut episode.

I'm very excited by some of what they're doing - Hardy being there is fun, I like Regal as manager, PVZ will be interesting. I just wish they spread it out over two weeks. It's too much to consume in one episode. Over the course of one night, we lost the Inner Circle, Pinnacle, HFO, and Tully with FTR.
It's not crash booking or anything and as always with AEW, it happens because of an embarrassment of riches, but just let stuff breathe a bit. The FTR/Tully split deserved more than a 30-60 second backstage segment. Stuff like that shouldn't be blink and you miss it because you went to the bathroom or your fridge.

I’ve been saying for months the chemistry of the Pinnacle does not work. Having FTR with MJF just doesn’t work on so many levels. I’m thrilled TK is ripping up this faction. The question is who does MJF surround himself with now?
If Cody Rhodes was still with AEW I would be jumping up and down at the prospect of Cody/FTR/New Big Heater-Big Man (?) with Arn Anderson as Manager for your new Horsemen. I mean family is everything, correct?

In fact, I hope this happens. Yeah, I hope it does, too. Bear Country is a super talented team and deserves to be on TV in some capacity. Even if they had to change up the look a bit to fit MJF's aesthetics, they're really good. ^ I recommend everybody watches this match from a Brian Myers CAP show. I was front row (you can see my head all the way to the left in this video, hah) and it was wild. Bear Bronson can go.
