There are a lot of modern wwe legends that are in AEW and I don’t think the Hardy Boyz are gonna be the last of them. Will there come a day where wwe will just say f*** it and let them in while they’re part of AEW? I think once Vince dies, there is a possibility of the forbidden door being open

Daniel Bryan is going into the hall the second he retires.

I can see it happening if I think they leave AEW or Vince just accepts the HOF induction regardless of the status. I mean, some of the talents in AEW are deserving to be in the WWE HOF, like Chris Jericho, Bryan Danielson, Hardy Boyz, etc.

Considering how Luchasaurus taught Bruno and Vince Sr. much of what they knew about the wrestling business I would be shocked if he wasn't inducted one day.

There's no chance they'd ever give their competition free advertising. Only once they're out of AEW can you ever expect to see anything.

I mean Jericho, the Hardyz, Bryan, Punk ect have been staples of WWE for years. Also I’m sure AEW have wwe guys in return to “promote” them, much like Christian for flair in 2012

They are not going to advertise for legitimate competition, or offer to share any assets with them. That's just standard business practice.

Guys who were major in WWE? Absolutely. They've gotta be done with wrestling and not be associated with AEW contract-wise before that happens. Afterwards yeah, they're good.

So, it’s not unpossible.

If it suits WWE’s needs that year.
Yes.

Wasn't Billy Gunn under AEW contract when he was inducted as part of DX?

At the time Billy Gunn went in, AEW had not yet run one single show and didn't have a TV deal; WWE underestimated AEW when it was actually time to fight, I can't imagine how little they thought of it in like January or February of 2019 when these things would have been laid out. Hell, it probably got penned in as the headliner plan before the company was even formally announced. WWE didn't think it was going to last and they weren't going to change around their Hall of Fame plans on a scarce maybe. Now, things are different; going to AEW isn't going to burn any HOF bridges but you don't go in until you're out of AEW, for sure.

I don't see the need to be in the WWE's Hall of Fame if you are currently in AEW. That's not a knock on the Hall of Fame per say, but I do think over the past 5 years the luster has come off and it's viewed more as it should be, a gold watch, a speech, and a payday. It doesn't really add anything, and this isn't TNA, they're not going to build a storyline around it.

They will probably have to have left AEW for a year or so beforehand, but I see no reason why any wrestler that left on good terms like Bryan Danielson won't get in the HOF at some point.

Look at all the guys and girls who went to WCW and were literally on the team that almost put Vince out of business that are now in the Hall of Fame. If Vince put those people in I'm sure he'll put some of the WWE legends now in AEW in as soon as they finish up with AEW.

And honestly I can't blame him. The other guys will probably get in unless Vince suddenly becomes really petty about it. And if Vince dies, I don't see Steph or Triple H refusing to induct say Bryan Danielson just because he retired working for the other guys.

As many have said, not while active in AEW for anyone.
Jericho is a 1000% lock. I think it would mean more to him than anyone else especially if Vince was still around for it. It covers 20-some years of his career, so you can't blame him. I see Jericho briefly stepping away from AEW to get inducted, then floating back to AEW to manager or do commentary or maybe help book as a consultant, and occasionally wandering back to WWE when they need him enough to pay and making money from both sides for the rest of his time.
Bryan definitely. He left on good terms and probably knows exactly how long he wants to go. He's universally beloved, so I think as long as he wants to he'll be welcome to show up anywhere he feels like it once he's officially retired like a less mercenary Jericho.
Christian is a tough call. He totally deserves it and would probably want it, but I feel like it'd take Edge pushing for him for WWE to say yes. Criminally underrated.
Dustin Rhodes probably. Like Christian, completely deserving. Would presumably want to at some point. Only thing that would stand in the way would be if all the Cody AEW to WWE stuff ended up being really weird.
Big Show yes, but will be forced to be inducted while wearing the Baby New Year diaper, which he will agree to immediately. Like they'll just say "Yes, but you have to wear-" and he'll cut them off and say "I have it on right now, let's do this."
Mark Henry...probably, right? Seems like the ideal #2 or #3 guy in a year with a strong headliner some day. I also don't think he and Show stick with AEW all that long in the future.
Hardys all come down to how Jeff's last departure actually played out, but they feel like obvious headliners some day unless one or both does something really stupid, so, even money.
Swagger/Hager no, unless they really run out of people. Takes up rare air among champions not in the HOF.
Keith Lee, Miro, Malaki Black, Kyle O'Reilly, Lance Archer, Tony Nese, Ruby, all no. Adam Cole probably not unless HHH somehow gets power back in the future. Regal maybe either way and would deserve it. Taz might be an unexpected yes for the WWE HOF some day, but I hope no if only because I want him in AEW being the way he is now for a long time.
Punk is the one guy who would say no on his own even though they'd bend over backwards for him. He'd especially feel like the one guy to turn them down if we'd continued down the HHH takes over path that we're probably no longer on. But man, I don't know, Punk is Punk. He clearly has his love of the business back, and throw in some dream scenario where they roll out the red carpet, pay him a ton, put AJ in with him, get Austin or Cena or Austin and Cena to induct him, and promise him a live mic to give the most anticipated induction speech possible...
Also, even though he's already in... Sting yes. Somehow they'll forget he's in already and accidentally induct him a second time and he just rolls with it, he's The Stinger.
