Zayn or Rollins for the men’s. The briefcase is best on someone who can be entertaining with it and either of these taunting Roman or Brock for months would be funny.

Liv or Io for the women’s. I hope it’s not Rhea. Her next title win should be a clean win over a top star, not a cheap MITB cash-in.

It's probably going to be Edge for the mens, but I would like to see either Cody (for a call your shot cash in at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta), or Sami Zayn for a bitch cash in.

McIntyre or Cody would be good for this. There aren't too many other strong enough faces on the men's side.

It feels like forever since someone actually set a date and used the briefcase for a scheduled match. They could do something like that for Io. Have her declare that she will cash in at Summerslam no matter who has the belt and then just spend the next few months building momentum. Play up the tension for the champ. Do they try to befriend Io, do they try to scare her off, do they try to target her?

Edited to add that I have no idea when Money in the bank is and assumed it will be right after mania or something.

I just hope they use the MITB as a tool to actually help get a woman over this time. Only Carmella has benefitted since it’s inception, every other winner has cashed in waaay too fast and winning didn’t actually benefit them. Alexa and Bayley were just excuses to give them another reign, Asuka was in a unique situation but again just added another reign, and Nikki ASH was somewhat an attempt to do something new but really they fudged the bed with that (and how many people forgot she won and actually won the title?!).

I’d like someone who would really benefit (Shotzi/Doudrop) or could do good character work (Zelina) or hotshot someone from NXT (Io).

I would love Kevin to win and get a big main event push again. He's doing great work in building this Austin match by himself and I think he deserves another run.

I would like Rhea to win and call her shot for Summerslam against Rousey and have her win. She's the future and I think they see her as such but she needs a big win over Charlotte or Rousey to get her to that next level.

I would be shocked if Rhea beat Ronda. Or hell, I think a better way to phrase it is "I would be shocked if anyone beats Ronda for the title before Becky gets it next year".

It's painfully obvious they are gonna heavily protect Ronda and she is definitely gonna get a year long reign until Mania right now. Because otherwise they run the risk of Ronda running off because her ego was hurt again. That's the problem with Ronda in that no one is going to benefit from working with her. She's gonna bulldoze over the entire Smackdown Women's Division just as bad as Charlotte did, except somehow an even worse promo and just as unlikable (except also in a non-kayfabe sense as well).

But for the men, I am gonna go with a wild out of left field choice and say Cody Rhodes for the men (if he returns). For the women, I think the best choice would be Io Shirai, but it'll probably be either Charlotte or Becky since both of them are missing that accolade. But Io would benefit way more as she can easily play a tweener role, and should cash in and beat Bianca or Rhea for the title at Summerslam or something.
