I'd have had WCW win and disbanding the nWo.. or so we think.
Maybe a month goes by, there is still mention of nWo and all the fallout from the attempted takeover. Then during a tag match on Nitro, the lights go out.. Sting possibly? He's also not been seen since the nWo was removed from the company.
The lights come back on and the match participants are all laid out, with them and the ring covered in 'nWo' spray paint.
Similar attacks occur over the next couple of weeks until eventually during the opening segment of Nitro, the nWo music hits, out comes Hogan, Hall and Nash. With a bunch of lawyers.
Security try to intervene but the lawyers step forward with contracts. It turns out these 3 originally signed contracts not with WCW, but with Turner/Time Warner directly.. and man, are they just killing it in the ratings and making a boat load of money
So much so Turner refuses to keep them off TV and gives them pretty much free reign to do what they want.
Where it goes from here I'm not sure, but it adds a bit more depth to the nWo angle and questions like 'why not just fire these guys?', Similar to Austin Vs McMahon. McMahon isn't going to get rid of Austin because the dude is a money maker. He's just gonna make his life hell.

The match did a lot for Luger’s push….but that was really about it. Not sure we really needed to see The Giant & the Horsemen getting punked out by the nWo again.
