What Color Do You Most Associate With Razor Ramon?

For the last couple of days I've been listening to the Lapsed Fan's Scott Hall tribute show. At the beginning of the "deep dive" the hosts make an offhand comment that Razor's purple gear is the definitive Razor gear, and that he looked best in either purple or black.

I was stunned. As a kid who grew up playing WrestleMania: The Arcade Game, the Razor Ramon character exclusively wears green in my mind's eye. I couldn't even think of a time that I recall Razor wearing purple or black, offhand.

So that got me curious. FAN, what color do you most associate with the Bad Guy?

Probably the purple/gold combo for me.

Oddly purple which is weird as that's the only color of his original rotation that he didn't have in his video game appearances which is how I usually most associate a color with a wrestler. Royal Rumble he had black, same with King of the Ring for NES, red for Raw, and green for Wrestlemania: Arcade Game. I guess maybe because he had purple in his debut.

First time I saw him was Wrestlemania IX, and then I think about the tag match with Ric Flair.

This thread is really hammering home to me that my perception of New Generation WWF is closely tied to the Arcade Game more so than anything that actually happened in real life.

Purple I remember the most but he looked awesome in every colour combo he had,he rocked the pink gold attire when he lost the ic title to Diesil which I remember thinking why didnt he wear that combo more. Iv always wondered if he ever wore white and gold as that would have been cool as heck.

I think a lot of us, including myself, are saying purple is because a lot of the promotional material the WWF took of him that WWE uses in present times features him in the purple and good.

He debuted with the yellow and had that for a few months, so it’s easiest to associate with him, but I always thought the purple was his best look. He and Flair looked damn cool in matching purple at Survivor Series.

I wasn't watching WWE when Scott Hall was Razor Ramon, so I associate him the most with when he was in the nWo with the black/red and black/white color combos.

Going with purple too, and not just because it's my favorite color, but growing up it was a standout look for the Bad Guy. Although, I have to admit the red and gold on black is also iconic.

It's such a bummer to look back on his WWF gear compared to his WCW/NWO look.
