ECW speedrun. Doing the hardcore stuff weekly isn’t going to please network advisers. Good thing TK is wealthy to the brim, but they need to tone down the TV-14 stuff and engage more kids on their product. I mean, it depends, doesn't it? Like, I think if there was an issue with the content, we would have heard something much longer ago about it. This could be the regime change but at the same time, you're not exactly going to have kids staying up at 8pm watching two hours of wrestling since they sure as heck aren't staying up to watch the 5 hours WWE produces every week for the most part. Are we sure that kids don’t watch WWE? Just looking at last week’s charts, Raw in the 12-34M was 0.51 to Dynamite’s 0.23. And F12-34 was around 0.30 to Dynamite’s 0.16. So percentage wise, they appear to be doing better in the 12-34 age range vs. AEW as compared to the 18-49 age range. This tells me that the biggest part of AEW’s demo number is probably in the 35-49 age group.

I either wait until the very last moment to turn on Dynamite or I mute my TV until Dynamite starts. Wait, what's wrong with BBT? Or is it just one of those shows that was so popular, it's cool to hate it now? It's an awful show written "for nerds" but it's really a bunch of lazy stereotypes.

Meltzer is completely wrong whenever he says that AEW did a thing well or is doing good business, but he's Super Correct when he says that their future could maybe possibly conceivably be less secure due to forces beyond their control!

I take that opinion with a grain of salt because they most likely have an axe to grind or just hate AEW because of reasons. Even IF AEW somehow got kicked off the network. Tony owns the company. They would survive. Problem fearing another WCW forget that Turner itself owned WCW.

Masks and characters are kid friendly! How about put Orange Cassidy as some insect... The Silver Beetle! And Chuck Taylor could be Mr. Macedonia! Maybe see how Jonathan Gresham feels about a mask as a way to introduce him, I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

You’re saying people aren’t watching WWE? Lol WM just did better stats than Super Bowl. And they have tons of kids in the audience. That’s why Raw and SD were 2 million last week. Meanwhile, AEW is averaging about 800-900k. It’s because their product caters to adult males 18-49. That’s a demo, but the show isn’t very diverse outside of that. The women’s division sucks so what can female fans latch onto? Everything is bloody, language, or hardcore, so what can kids latch onto? Tell me you don't know how ratings work without telling me you don't know how ratings work.

Nah that's just a dishonest troll. that's why he reduced AEW'S AVERAGE and didn't use RAWs average. just don't bother arguing with trolls

It's just really cringe to me. It compresses nerds to the most base element. Cannot stand it. Would rather watch the last ten minutes of The Accountant or Geo Storm or whatever.

It's a weird spot because it does the academia humor unusually well, but the pop culture geek stuff is the laziest of lazy stereotypes.

I know there are trolls abound, but the "nothing for girls latch on to" line is kind of gross.
I know people live in a bubble, but for this weeks Dynamite, the Female 18-49 demo was #4 out of ALL SHOWS ALL NIGHT. Out of the 150 they track. Their female 12-34 demo was tied for for #1. So out of 150 shows tracked on Wednesday night, if a 12 to 34 old female had cable on from 8 to 10pm, they were most likely watching AEW Dynamite.
People live in a weird "It its not number one its getting canceled" mentality, but numbers are numbers. AEW might not get that billion, but they can run pretty damn good on 500 to 750 million for 5 years. ESPECIALLY now that the international and streaming deals start to happen.

You wonder why the Mods have a pinned thread and others are just exhausted with the AEW Board lately, there always has to be someone or something to derail these kinds of threads, like clockwork...

yeh big bang theory the joke is they are doing nerdy stuff. That's it ,what the nerdy stuff is doesn't matter.
Compare it to Community's more nerdy episodes.
at least at the time ,there was a bigger fan base to laugh at nerds than with nerds
