Is it time to expand the Batman family?

In the Nolan trilogy and the new the Batman movie, Bruce Wayne have been pretty much on his own. Anyone wish future installments would slowly introduce Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, and so on?

It is not like they can do it any worse than they did in the 90s.

I'd say they'd want to keep one, DCU related franchise going for at least three films before they started looking at this.

The Batman was a step in the right direction, the sequel and spin offs introduce meta humans, maybe they can start looking at more bat people.

Joker has a movie, Harley Quinn has movies, both Nightwing and Robin are on Titans, Robin on Teen Titans Go, Pennyworth, the Batwoman show,and Batgirl has an upcoming movie.

I'd love to see the Batfamily introduced interacting with Batman in his movies. Though it's getting a little too big in the Batman comics if anything lol.

It does seem like the upcoming Batgirl show is meant to eventually interact with Batman himself versus out being in its own universe like Titans and Batwoman are.

From what rumors say, both Michael Kenton Batman AND Ben Affleck Batman will be in Batgirl.

Yeah is why Forever was the best Batman film. He's better when he plays off the family.

Some would also debate the LEGO Batman movie (even if was more comedy than Forever) due to how they build up Batman accepting Robin into the fold.

Would love if they fast forwarded a bit in Patterson's world and have him with Nightwing and/or Batgirl, or hell Bluebird or Signal. I know we'll them in Gotham Knights, but it'd be cool to see Batman actually interact with them.

Relative to this, a poster on here had an idea for a series set in Gotham with no Batman. It would explore his legacy and impact on the city and its inhabitants, and the infrastructure and people Batman helped create and put in place, including the Bat family.

I recently reread the Death of Superman arc from the 90s, and they did this for several issues, and it convinced me a similar idea with Batman could work.

Basically the premise of the 2002 Birds of Prey tv show, but that was very Buffy/Smallville in its approach. I'd be down for another crack at it.

Absolutely. It’s untapped. I haven’t even seen Pattinsons flick yet but I’d love a film with the family fleshed out and Batman at the helm. I’m really amazed they haven’t done it yet.

It depends on the verse in question.

DCEU... Maybe see if they can recast Batman first before going down that route.

The Matt Reeves verse. I don't see the harm in it. It'd be a major part of Bruce's character arc to have someone younger than him to fight by his side and give him some hope he clearly needs.
