It’s purdy. I preferred the attitude era belt. Seemed “grander”. But there was a legitimacy and authenticity to the undisputed title.

The eagle belt will always be number 1 (this is not subjective people... ), but the Undisputed is probably the last good looking original world title belt design they had besides. In this scenario, I'm not counting Big Gold, since it's basically a ripoff of the WCW World Title, and this not original to WWE in my mind. The Big Gold wasn't even WCW's at first, it was the NWA World Title. The Big Gold was so awesome that it represented 4 different World Championships. Was it? I thought it was the belt WCW brought in when they left the NWA. I always thought the NWA only had the one belt this whole time.

I thought it was the belt WCW brought in when they left the NWA. I always thought the NWA only had the one belt this whole time. Big Gold first was used to replace "10 Pounds of Gold" during one of Ric Flair's NWA title runs (I wanna say 3rd but not positive there). Flair had a deposit hence why he was able to bring it with him for 91 WWF TV. Eventually it was brought back to WCW, and became the WCW International Heavyweight Championship. Prior to Hogan's first match in WCW, it was unified with the WCW World Championship, and that design, shown here: ...was retired in favor of Big Gold being the WCW (and later WCW/nWo) World Championship, through the Alliance run. It then became one of the two titles representing the Undisputed Championship until the belt talked about in this thread appeared. Then it was brought in so Raw could have a title and because they decided against making the Intercontinental Championship the top prize of Raw. Small side note, there have been subtle differences to Big Gold over its tenure. Silver backing for lettering: Then all gold: And then the WWE version (notice the very top)

Am I the only one who thinks the Big Gold is overated? Never got the love for it. The 91-94 WCW Title, is WAY better.

I wish the Big Eagle had stayed around longer, but if they felt they needed a new title represent the post-Monday Night War era, this was a pretty good belt to use here.

Honestly, I kinda like the fake one that Flair carried around for a short time after the legal issues started about having Big Gold on WWF TV a bit better. Pretty much the same look, but different lettering to attempt to be its own thing:

I liked it a lot but it did always feel secondary to me to the World Heavyweight Championship. My family watched Nitro a lot growing up so that belt meant a lot.

I wasn't a fan at first but grew to like it pretty quickly. One of those belts that looks great on anybody.

I wish they had used it for the title belt when Cena wasn't holding it. Most of the wrestlers from 2002-2013 that held it looked out of place.

This is up there with Big Gold. It’s excellent.
