Great night, Scorpio was over HUGE with this crowd live Hope Deeb going over tonight means she's up next to challenge for the women's title Rosa was watching her win on the TV, looks like it.

My only complaint for AEW is now the really bad timing for commercials. PIP really sucks the fun out of matches 9/10

The thing is it felt less like a proper street fight, and more like just a match with some weapons thrown in from time to time.
And when you’re in Philly, home of ECW, kind of expected something more extreme than that.

I really, really enjoyed the show, missed the ME, so remained spoiler free and caught the replay. Ending of the match had me like the f***ing TNT title man..lol. Whatever. If people like it, cool. I thought the rest of the show was incredible. A lot of variety. A lot of good stuff. ME was bowling shoe ugly but I feel a lot of it is me just getting old. Also it’s Sammy and sky, so, wasn’t gonna be happy regardless lol A really strong 8.5

All around 8, I wasn't crazy about the main event, but that's more because Dan Lambert and his crew have X-Pac heat with me still. I just think Scorpio needs to ditch or be turned on by the guy before I can cheer for him.
Also I'm not gonna cry burial like usual, but could Kingston please get to pull the trigger on whatever trump card he has to even the odds by now. I get that this is a slow build, but does it have to be this slow?

Also it’s Sammy and sky, so, wasn’t gonna be happy regardless lol A really strong 8.5 The TNT Title's been used in several storylines and at least every belt change has felt like it's mattered in some narrative form recently Which is what a lot of people seemed to want, they wanted the TNT Title to have more storyline around it instead of running through a match gauntlet... well I can't say it didn't do a ton of stuff in the last few defenses, from Cody winning it from Sammy and Sammy being the interim champ while Cody dealt with COVID and putting on a ton of great matches and making up for his first reign, to Sammy becoming undisputed with it and Cody having his AEW swan song, to Sky winning it and establishing PVZ and the feud, to the Double Turn being cemented, Sammy low blows Sky and costs him the belt, Sky wins it back in the Ladder Match, the same place Sammy cemented himself with the belt, down to the Cutter spot being countered this time, Scorpio and PVZ were able to stave them off, and Scorpio got his redemption, to thunderous applause You now have several avenues. Sky/PVZ vs Sammy/Tay, you have Ethan Page not looking happy about Scorpio embracing his SCU roots, Sky vs Kaz in what could be a banger, and potentially down the line Ethan vs Sky for the title which could be a hell of a match. I think after some hiccups they've finally found a good standing with the presentation, and the belt feels like the hardest title to keep, it's defended the most, it's defended in a ton of crazy matches, it makes sense to me why a lot of champions don't hold it long, the durability in kayfabe to keep it lately is a lot. None of the wins have felt cheap, even the match Sammy won with a low blow was pretty hard fought till the end. My question will be if the PPV match is Sammy/Tay vs Sky/PVZ will we see the TNT Title with Sky and not defended, or may he lose it before then? The other option is that Ethan takes over and Scorpio does his own thing with the belt, guess we'll see.

Forgot it was on honestly. Might look up the FTR match later, otherwise no idea what the card was. As someone who was in the same boat, I recommend finding a video for the FTR match. What I saw on YT was pretty damn good.

I went 9. I really enjoyed the FTR match, good promos this week, Serena/Shida was good.
That said, I can't help but feel like there are a lot of dangerous gimmick matches/brawls in AEW and folks are running the risk of getting hurt. Sammy was like...an inch away from total disaster with that spot where he overrotated and hit the mat. I don't think they need to dial back the athleticism, but I do think maybe not jumping off something every week would be wise.

What a weird show. Paced well, good matches but oddly unsatisfying.
Sammy's ladder dive was stupid and made the match awkward but compelling, fair play to him being able to carry on but if he was concussed as he appeared he shouldn't have been allowed to do some of those spots.
Deeb winning may have been sensible and it was a good match but not a satisfying end to a looong fued, felt like it had another gear to reach. Maybe it was just watching prominences show the day before, felt like Shida getting some shots in with a barbed wire kendo stick would have given her a better moment of revenge before defeat and Serena surviving that would have made her look even better.
Ftr match was great. MJF must be getting investment advice from Paul Wight if he thinks Big Cass is worth that much. Do something Eddie! Don't walk into a trap when Alex telegraphs it you dummies.
I don't know 8/10?
