m.youtube.com/watch?v=DV0S0GmdGNsAccording to this video, you will get never-before-seen matches which is probably the matches that were exclusive to the UK broadcast. “You are going to get this whether you want it ir not”

Since it’s for a UK release, they never got Repo v. Crush, for some reason. So I guess that never before seen? The Network used the American version, and this will be the UK version of the PPV….I think.

Also had the opening six man tag and Tatanka vs. that Viking fella too.

Between this and how much cheaper some region 2 sets seem to be going for compared to region 1, I think I'm either going to finally buy a region 2 or all region player.

I brought this up in a previous physical media thread, but I would love to see the WWE do more special edition releases for certain well known or legendary PPVs and events. Like Arrow or Shout! or Criterion does for regular movies.

Probably get this depending what the extras are like. There was an amazing fan made compilation of the full broadcast and extras from TV made about ten years ago that i'd like to replace.

I’ve already got the extra matches on the Tagged Classics edition but if there are some good extras, I’ll probably get this one.

I've always wished they'd include the three dark matches on the Network version of the show.

PS4's are region free aren't they? They aren't, actually. That's a common misconception. PS4 *games* themselves, as in on disc, are are region free, but the system itself and the capacity to play blu-rays (as well as digital games) is region locked.

Tatanka/Berzerker I think was supposed to be a US exclusive but was cut from the airing for time and wasn't shown until airing on Prime Time Wrestling in the fall. That I don't think made either brodcast and I don't think Mountie-Nsties/Duggan-Bushwhackers did either.

I got a region 2 Blu Ray player mostly in order to get those Attitude Era Manias they released in the UK not too long ago (Mania 17 on DVD with the WWF logo unblurred and “My Way” not dubbed over! Yay!) Also have since picked up quite a few New Japan DVDs some of which cost more than I’m proud to admit lol. The player was definitely a worthy investment and I’d be interested in grabbing this if it’s got some good stuff on it.

So I can play Japanese PS4 games...but not Japanese movies?

Santana/Shango was on the UK VHS release (as were the other two unaired matches) but not the TV broadcast. On the Sky TV airing on Aug. 31, Crush/RM was replaced with hype for the September house shows in England.

Why is this PPV such a mess? I know they taped certain matches for Prime Time, for some reason…then they pull a match out in the middle for the UK.

Why is this PPV such a mess? I know they taped certain matches for Prime Time, for some reason…then they pull a match out in the middle for the UK. Two of the extra matches were dark matches (six-man tag and Santana/Shango). The other (Tatanka/Berzerker) happened between Savage/Warrior and Undertaker/Kamala but got edited off the show to keep it under 3 hours. All of them were included on the UK Coliseum/Silvervision release of the show. The U.S. PPV broadcast also had more post-production work done to it than the Sky TV broadcast did: - Randy Savage's entrance had a crowd pop added to it on the U.S. version. The UK broadcast didn't. - Vince McMahon's mic stopped working for part of Savage/Warrior, so Bobby Heenan worked solo for awhile. In the UK, the match aired that way. In the U.S., they dubbed in new commentary for that section of the match. - Howard Finkel messed up Bret Hart's introduction, calling him the challenger at first before correcting himself. Again, that was not edited from the show in the UK but was in the U.S. McMahon's commentary as Bret went through the curtain and headed towards the ring was changed for the U.S. broadcast as well. - After the Bulldog's win, Heenan said (paraphrasing) "Wembley Arena is going nuts! I mean Wembley Stadium! I don't know where we are!" That was included on the UK version but was cut out in the U.S. The 2003 "Best of Confidential" set and the 2010 Hart Family set has the UK version of the Bret/Bulldog match.

I just remember hearing "region free" get tossed around alot when the ps4 came out. Thanks Chaz.

Pretty happy with The Tagged Classics DVD I've got with this event, which has all the matches on it.
For me to get the Blu Ray, the extras would have to be somewhat significant. Extra matches like Savage/Warrior VS Nasty Boys, which was shown briefly on the show won't suffice.
However a detailed retrospective documentary on the event certainly will.
Also I know it's Silver Vision but I'm someone who likes the original artwork.
