According to the credits that's Colt Cabana playing the Brawler.

I'm interested to see if any early tension is alluded to with the Hunter and Rocky characters.

I'm kinda mortified that that era is so ingrained in me I can say (what I think is) the Ringmaster-era Steve Austin is historically inaccurate because that look was dunzo before Mankind made TV. I hate the look.... but man, when he opened his mouth to talk, he was really good.

Rock meeting Ringmaster is so stupid, you can just tell that was someone saying "We need two icons to meet each other from their original roots!" even though it never happened that way and Steve Austin was well into being Steve Austin by that point... like this show is being watched by a lot of wrestling fans, you should probably at least get that right lol It's a Hollywood television show, not a documentary. It needs to attempt to be entertaining. I think you have to understand there will be some historical liberties taken.

I know that, it's just odd that they seem to have gotten a lot accurate with the older phases of WWF and then in 96 you just have this weird lapse for the sake of it Again I said why, I just thought it was stupid. You could have had Rocky meeting a young Steve Austin, would have been fine, but hey I'm not making the show! Lol

Wow, that's pretty obscure for a mainstream show. Wonder if they'll have someone playing Jake Roberts, considering the real Jake now works for the competition. Jake was on there earlier in Memphis. I can forgive most of these anachronisms since I’m too young to remember most of the 80s and wasn’t reading the backstage news but I can’t believe they messed up Damien or should I say “his pet Snake Desdemona”. Long shot, but I wonder if it was changed because "Damien = Satan"

The picture posted in the off topic forum, shows Mankind shaking Rocky's hand with Hunter looking on. Just in that picture you can see the disdain in this Hunter character for Rocky.

While these are mostly misses, The guy they picked for Bam Bam Bigelow was spot on Which is ironic considering he left the company by then. His last match was at the 1995 Survivor Series(against Goldust).

I actually thought the guys below Undertaker was an anachronistic Dino Bravo. Really? Because I thought he was an anachronistic Harley Race.

The actual Brawler will be at this indy show we're going to on Saturday. Wonder if he starts hyping him being Rock's "first" opponent because of this?
EDIT: Oh, the episode mentiones Memphis AFTER the Brawler match. Is this how it worked out IRL?
