I don't mind that ending. Roman wasn't getting pinned and having the RKOBro beat Jey or Jimmy doesn't do anything for anyone. Except it would mean something? Even if Roman wasn't pinned it's still a setback against him... something he's literally not had in 2 years... something a face could rub in the bloodline's face... something to build a story up from that shows that for all their posturing they aren't unbeatable and offers some hope to the audience. Instead it's just more of the same Roman never loses, Roman doesn't suffer consequences... hell Roman doesn't take moves from people... He would just blame the Usos & move on. Meh.

Me earlier today: "I'm not gonna get heated for this PPV" Me five minutes after it's over: "that motherf***er couldn't even lose or take more than three moves in a non title six man tag"

Better than what we got, which was more of “OH MY GOD THE BLOODLINE ARE THE GREATEST TEAM OF ALL TIME.” Enough. They should have sent the crowd home happy.

I didn't get a chance to update the Backlash Page with tonight's results, but that will be updated later this week. Here are my WrestleMania Backlash Thoughts: The Kickoff was such a waste. Madcap Moss' promo was good. I like that version of him. Paul Heyman was great as usual. They should have added a match to the show. Very cool opening video for WrestleMania Backlash. People have been complaining about all of the re-matches tonight, but it should be a great show. They said the same thing last year and the only bad match then was the stupid Zombie Lumberjack Match. There are not enough adjectives in the dictionary to describe Cody Rhodes VS Seth Rollins. They outdid their Mania match. I won't mind more between them. Cool video on Bobby Lashley. I really didn't want to see another match between Bobby Lashley & Omos after Mania, but their 2nd match was really good. Lashley putting Omos in the Hurt Lock was cool to see. LOL at this being Omos' biggest win of his career. He's a former Raw Tag Champion. Visit darrenswinloss.wordpress.com/2017/10/02/history-of-the-hell-in-the-cell-match/ for the Entire History of the Hell In A Cell Match. AJ Styles VS Edge was another great match. I liked this match better than their last. And here's the only Fact I will say tonight. This was Edge's Record Breaking 11th Backlash Match, breaking the tie with Triple H at 10 for most Backlash Matches in History. Love the new look of Rhea Ripley. Great video on Bianca Belair. It would have been better if she was defending her Raw Women's Title tonight, but at least she gets on TV. I like that they did all of the Raw matches first & now are doing the Smackdown matches instead of alternating matches. Ronda Rousey VS Charlotte Flair was the WM Backlash match I was looking forward to the least, which is saying something when there's an Omos & Corbin match on the card. Let's see if the match matches the crappy build, as long as Drew Gulak doesn't get involved & emasculated. Once again, the Backlash match is better than the Mania Match. I actually enjoyed Ronda Rousey VS Charlotte Flair. The I Quit stipulation really addded to the match. I liked the finish. Visit darrenswinloss.wordpress.com/2017/06/19/history-of-the-money-in-the-bank-ladder-match-2/ for the Complete History of Money In The Bank. The Only Singles Match that wasn't a Mania Re-Match between Madcap Moss & Happy Corbin was pretty good. Cool video on Drew McIntyre. Like the Medical Update about Charlotte Flair's injury to make things more realistic. I guess we're not getting a Hell In A Cell Re-Match between Flair & Rousey since she shouldn't be cleared to wrestle in a month. For the record, here are my comments about Roman Reigns' comments at last night's live event. No one knows what he meant so it's no point to speculate anything about the end of his career. Drew McIntyre & RK-Bro VS The Bloodline was an excellent main event. I think Reigns' next challengers will be Nakamura (HIAC), no Defense (MITB), Orton (SummerSlam), McIntyre (Clash at the Castle). Once again, idiot wrestling fans complained about WM Backlash being full of re-matches & having only 1 title match. And it ended up being an awesome show. Wait before you complain next time.

Which IS still SOMETHING. Instead of LITERALLY nothing like we have now. and if Roman was the one pinned? It literally doesn't matter... it's a non title match... he can claim that it was the Usos or he didn't really care... or whatever... but if say Drew actually pinned him hey... we have a setup and some intrigue for Roman vs. Drew later... instead of now where... Roman just literally steamrolled him like he does everyone....

WWE has so much talent that they've shown that the build can be meh for every show and they'll still put on an entertaining PPV.

Anything else would devalue the moment of him actually losing.

Like at this point, I love it. It reminds me of 2007 Cena but him actually being the bad guy. Like this dude who constantly wins & people are just paying money until he loses and he keeps winning. Just gotta make sure you get to the endpoint where he actually loses. But I don't think Roman makes it to Mania with the belt but the fact that he could will make his championship matches so intriguing this summer.

He's just an albatross on any attempt to actually tell a decent narrative in this company.

In hindsight, I don't get why Ronda/Charlotte didn't go on last. The only title match, a face going over, and a title change.

That is quite a take.

The closest parallel booking-wise is Bianca, who almost always wins, never takes falls if she loses, and usually comes out on top during the builds as well.

I've only watched the first hour, but I have to say Omos looked surprisingly capable tonight. All his previous matches were basically him standing still while everybody else bounced off him, but he was actually moving around here, and even hit a few big man power moves (snake eyes, running big boot). Maybe they actually have something with him.

Even then, Bianca's only had the title since Mania, doesn't have a pair of toadies bolstering her, nor does she have a snivelling, conniving manager who's sole loyalty remains his own position. Even the Honky Tonk Man lost eventally to the Ultimate Warrior. Waitaminit....Who's wearing tassels these days and a mysterious identity? Time for Zeke to step out of Elias's shadow once and for all.
