The only thing worse than falsely advertising Nia Jax would be actually using Nia Jax. What a shitshow this has turned into. This hasn't gotten off the ground and already it's just been mess after mess. Ghosting Matt Rehwoldt after trying to call in a buddy favor and get him to drop some bookings is the kind of thing that's going to stop making your old work buddies want to do you favors and all these guys seem to have going for them is a number of old work buddies they were able to call on. Really feels like their idea was "We have the numbers of guys who got fired when we did, let's book a show with them", which'd be noble if not for them f***ing those people over, but it's also just not a great foundation to start a promotion with.

This show is in my hometown. If tickets were cheaper I 100% would be going to watch it burn and wave a computer game opinion sign for Maffew If it actually happens, could probably bribe your way in with a Snickers, it's the most anyone's getting paid for it.

I just hope those actually making the trip get paid. This feels like a disaster. That tweet seems like they were threatened with legal action and one of the AOP just commandeered the Twitter account and panic tweeted.

The Tweet for anybody that missed it was along the lines of: Lina vs CJ Perry isn't happening anymore due certain circumstances.
(yes, the phrasing and grammar is accurately represented)

I snicker at the idea of a team formerly known as the "Authors of Pain" writing checks their butts can't cash.

Show up with a half-decent sub from a nice local family-run deli and a wrestler would probably escort you personally to the best available seat, otherwise known as the best seat.

So this interview says the original show was meant to be Dubai not Bharain as originally reported but something with the royal family prevented that? Can only assume WWE have an exclusive deal? youtu.be/KIY4HitT_HQThey have a team. Maybe if they're from the middle East it would explain the questionable grammar. Interesting Mojo and Nia were also part of their nft scam. Seems highly likely Wes and the bullshit Ape planet are related. Especially given the extract from this interview. That’s one of the things that me and Sunny [Akam] were really, really strict on. We really wanted the community part to be really strong and that’s one of the things we really wanted and of course, we also wanted something that nobody has seen before, something that nobody has done before. For example, with our figures, we’re fully 3D, fully adaptable to any metaverse. It’s crazy. We’re actually releasing a video game called ‘BullApe Planet’. It will be available on PlayStation, XBOX and so forth. It’s actually — we’re taking such big steps that we never could have dreamed of and that’s what we wanted. We wanted to be bigger than real life. Of course, you know the saying in WWE, ‘Everything’s bigger in real life.’ Once we left WWE, we felt like, where can we go where we have the same feeling? Of course we had offers from multiple companies and nothing felt the same as this right now. Of course in the future, you never know, right? We can make a comeback in the real world of course. We’re already planning some stuff to create in the Middle East. It’s gonna be huge. We’re actually flying over there in two weeks to set up some things and it’s gonna be huge. We can’t tell too much about it but it’s gonna be a very exciting time for us. www.postwrestling.com/2022/03/22/rezar-recounts-situation-involving-happy-corbin-on-wwe-overseas-tour-corbin-referring-to-him-as-young-boy/

I wish someone had led with "these guys also ran an NFT scam" so I could have been cheering for this thing to go up in flames from the moment it started.

Daily star journalist so who knows how accurate it is... but seems a realistic number.
As they're selling meet and greets it's interesting half their roster is at a free event the following night.
Also worth mentioning their nft scam has nothing new posted since the start of June. Have to imagine the crypto crash put the final nail in it's coffin.

If that’s accurate, then this is worse than Heroes of Wrestling, since if the information that I gathered is correct, then the Heroes of Wrestling show drew an audience of 2,300.

Or, considering this is turning out worse that CYN... the seat. I mean, at least CYN has managed to put on shows, and as far as I know, everyone got paid. That's a low ass bar to clear, but plenty of promotions haven't even done that, and WES is spectacularly tripping over said bar.

I was walking my dog listening to their interview with Renee and was rooting for them strong until they mentioned the NFTs and I legit turned it off immediately

If they could get some poor indy wrestler to dress up as their nfts it would increase the quality of the show 37.9%.

Peking around their NFT scam I wanna actually lay out its exact scumminess, because some people rightly know NFTs are bad but can't necessarily see the exact execution or know the terms. Their last posts anywhere here were on June 6th, which was their mint day. That's the day where you can go and buy the monkey jpeg off of them by spending the mint cost to get a randomly generated monkey jpeg. The price for this specific project is .2 Etherium, which is in today money $224, but would have been $383 at June 6th's daily peak. Now, NFTs usually come with some promise of support and community, and often some kind of perk or opportunity that holding onto it will one day net the buyer, which is what the project fund is generally meant to go into, and which is the actual main reason for people to buy in. If you get a perk for holding onto the NFT then you will be able to resell that NFT to someone else for more money down the line. Generally these promises and perks are all scams, of course, because AOP also pulled what is called a rug pull: they took the money and they went dead, and now they don't post anymore.
Following the link, the mint is still active, so they didn't sell out their 6969 monkey jpegs either, but they likely made some small amount of cash burning people because unless you get zero traction you'll usually find some suckers. Vitally, this being successful or not has no bearing on if it's a rug pull; they would have taken the money and run the second they got it no matter what because that was the intention from day one. The fact they didn't even keep trying to hype it or be like "WE'VE STILL GOT MONKEYS, GET THEM BEFORE THEY RUN OUT, YOU WON'T WANT TO MISS OUT ON THIS" is telling about just how little finesse or effort they put into this endeavor. Which feels like an apt metaphor for their wrestling show, too.
