Tonight’s episode hit hard after all the dating bs I’ve had to deal with lately. {Spoiler}I hope Jen snaps Josh’s neck! Guess they are going to wait until the last episode to have Daredevil show up. I wanna see my man so bad

The problem isn't the show. It's you. I'm enjoying the show so far and I'm interested to see where it goes. Sometimes things aren't for you. And that's OK. That doesn't mean the show is bad, that means the show isn't for you. If you don't like the show, why are you still watching? There are literally hundreds of other shows you can watch. But, this is a board where half the members forced themselves to watch a show they hate for 3 hours every Monday night. So, I shouldn't be surprised they watch a superhero show they hate every week. Honestly I am just watching now to see when Daredevil shows up. The Netflix show was fantastic and I have loved the character for 30 years. You're watching a show called *SHE-HULK* for an appearance by *DAREDEVIL* You're watching the show for the wrong reason. Just watch the old show. And then when he shows up in She-Hulk, watch the 5 seconds he'll be in the show in a clip on YouTube. I'm waiting for Bray to show up in WWE. I'm not watching Raw and SD every week hoping he shows up. I'm watching shows I like and I'll watch the return on YouTube whenever it happens. There are better uses of your time than wasting it forcing yourself on something you hate.

It's aimed at me. I'm digging this shit. It's a breath of fresh air to have a silly sitcom comics show amongst everything else and again feels exactly like her two biggest solo runs in comics. Great stuff in my view. Yeah, I’m quite enjoying this series. Very pleasant change of pace from most MCU projects.

They had a comics accurate Porcupine. I mean if you can't love that silliness the show ain't for ya.

Having been a Marvel comics reader since 1992 and considering how the MCU for me was a literal childhood dream come true...I am having a hard time understanding who this show is aimed at. She Hulk was never one of my favorite characters and I mostly read her in team ups and event stories but I also thought she was badass and that it would be great to see her in live action one day. This show is not what I hoped for. It's not funny, nothing much in the way of plot and what little action we have had is forgettable. What's more the undercurrent of men bashing and especially taking swipes at so called "basement dwelling nerds" the people who's hard earned money is the very reason there is an MCU to begin with, leaves me cold and to be honest offended. I can see from the posts in here though that some people are actually enjoying the show and getting a kick out of the attacks on fandom which is quite puzzling to be honest and clearly not a good business model for the MCU. Do you remember when the whole point of a show was to actually entertain and not try and make a statement? I do and I miss those days. Shows like this and the recent Thor Love and Thunder feel very far away from Infinity War, almost like it's set in a completely different universe. I've been into comics probably about the same amount of time. X-men was one of my favourite shows, my buddies and I regularly talked about Spider-man and X-men at school. Years later when I finally had access to cable I finally got to watch Batman TAS and Spider-man TAS. Seeing X-men and Spider-man on the big screen for the first time, holy crap, dream come true. I had just gotten into Avengers when they announced the plans for phase 1. I spent 10 years anxiously waiting for that first Avengers film and was so glad it was good. Some people are tired of interconnectedness and the mcu but I want more. I love that there's still so much more coming and I feel like I've been the perfect age for all of this every step of the way. Comics are my jam.
That said, I'm enjoying this show. I recognize that the guys the show 'bashes' are not me, nor any of my friends but genuinely scummy guys that sadly do exist. Part of what I like about this series though is it's trying something new. As much as I love the MCU, there can be formulaic elements at times so I'm glad to see them get the chance to try something new. This also potentially brings in more fans who might not normally check out some of the other MCU stuff.
Do I wanna see Jen kick some ass? Sure that would be fun at some point. However, I'm enjoying the ride, getting to know the character. Even in the comics Jen has always tried to balance her lawyer work with her superhero work so it's nice to see this side of her. Plus, it's fun to see more lighthearted fare. Sometimes I want those big damn epic movies but sometimes it's nice to kick back and relax with some characters who happen to have super powers.

Actually all of them are characters, though very minor ones. As someone who has spent a lot of his life reading comics, I'm only passingly familiar with half of them.

I can't wait for the inevitable meteor strikes earth level anger when DareDevil only shows up for the final 5min of the final episode.
As for the show it is alright but it just feels like a whole of set up without anything progressing on the bigger front , they got what 2 more episodes? there is absoloutley no way they are gonna be able to devote enough time to both DareDevil and the Intelligencia plot , not to mention things like the wrecking crew very likely coming back and devote the time people want to them and I expect likely will have the same issue alot of people had with WandaVisions finale with things feeling rushed.

Did you hate half of Daredevils series when he is doing lawyer stuff? Only men being bashed are whiny internet incel losers. And maybe frat boy magicians. As another poster stated you ignore all of the positive men on the show. And you sound like Star Trek “fans” who complain about the recent stars and Star Trek going “woke”. When the show was always “woke”, always making statements, always about something. MCU and movies/tv have always had messages. Those can just be digested better by some people when there is a straight, white man as the main character.

For a long time in the books Porcupine costume was on display in Avengers mansion with a dedication as he died a hero.

I’ve been noticing that they have been just casually working in more and more mutants into the MCU thanks in part to this show, between Mr. Immortal and now El Aguila. And no big deal, they’re just there, they got powers, and I kinda like that. I know some people were thinking, “Oh how are they going to introduce mutants appearing suddenly? It’s gotta be in some big event!” And it turns out their approach is just, “They’ve kinda just been here all along and most people just didn’t notice or care”, and I dig.

But also that no one is gonna be asking about the difference to citizens in the MCU to them they are just another person with powers after seeing beings like Thanos and Hulk/She Hulk etc Eventually something is gonna happen where that gap widens and people become more and more aware and scared of these mutants and start to differentiate them...maybe something like a mutant baby is born in a hospital and then it trickles down from there. Someone like a Mystique could throw so many things into disaray in the MCU not just with her powers but just her appearance alone and secret invasion should lay ground work for such.

Just thinking about it more and does his complaint really boil down to "I like She Hulk when she is a supporting character in someone elses story and I would prefer a show about her to treat her like that." Because thats how it reads to me.

So you are mostly aware of She Hulk in stories where she is not the focus, only as part of a team or group? Correct So you are not familiar with stories about her and her supporting cast and want to complain that a series where she and they are the main focus?
Yes that's the show we are discussing
And you complain that she is not kicking ass?
I know right, in a show called She Hulk, crazy to expect more ass kicking, forgive me.
Did you hate half of Daredevils series when he is doing lawyer stuff?
Absolutely not that was compelling, do you find the lawyer stuff here to be of the same standard?
Only men being bashed are whiny internet incel losers. And maybe frat boy magicians. As another poster stated you ignore all of the positive men on the show.
Perhaps it's because the majority of men being portrayed are coming across like that, I dunno seems a bit too full on for me. If the gender roles in the show were flipped and all the women were portrayed in that way what do you think the reaction would be? Seriously imagine it for a moment, sure there have been some positive male characters I guess but heck we just had Josh turn heel so who knows.
And you sound like Star Trek “fans” who complain about the recent stars and Star Trek going “woke”.
Not a Star Trek fan, but I can tell you my Trekkie friends all hold DS9 in the highest regard, remember the one with Sisko as the lead?
When the show was always “woke”, always making statements, always about something. MCU and movies/tv have always had messages. Those can just be digested better by some people when there is a straight, white man as the main character.
Brilliant, I didn't use the term woke nor bring race into it at all. Do you even know my ethnicity? What my favorite shows are? What movies I like? So because I have issues with this show I must immediately be some basement dwelling white guy who hates anything with women and POC. I think you have basically shown the issue I have with where modern entertainment is going. We can't even debate the good and bad of the show without questioning someones reasons being political. We gotta immediatel assume they only enjoy things with white straight men as the main character. Anyway back to the show, gotta admit episode 7 got a few laughs outta me. Still feel this show was a massive missed opportunity though.

Can't say this show is a must watch for me, since I'm not really a sitcom person, but I do appreciate everything about it and it tackles the goofier side of things in marvel.

Yeah, it's going to be when one gets the public's attention for destroying public property and turning metal objects into projectile weapons while screaming about how he's the superior next step in evolution is when they'll notice and care
