We already knew Rudd due to the season finale, but Meryl Streep? Rudd and Streep is a bit of an improvement over Amy Schumer and Cara.
Wonder if Streep is gonna do a Miranda Priestly like character.

I actually liked Cara but yeah, I’m not going to complain about the casting shakeup. As long as Schumer gets forced out of the apartment this season, I’m good. Also, my sister reminded me Jesse Williams from Grey’s Anatomy’s going to be in this season too so I’m really looking forward to all this coming together.

Not long left, folks!
Also, don’t think I missed the fact Matthew Broderick’s a guest star this season, show. I saw you trying to hide that!

Going to put more spoilers later as I watch it but man, putting Meryl Streep in this show is cheating. Like adding Sonic The Hedgehog to the Usain Bolt era Jamaica running team.

{Spoiler}That monologue from Loretta was…f*** me, as I said before Meryl Streep on this show is cheating. Also, even across the two episodes, we still don’t know why Loretta hates Ben but we do know why Ben hates Charles which…I mean, fair!
I love the swerve of Ben being brought back to life making you think that he’s not going to be the subject of the season…and then he becomes the subject of the season anyway. Probably the first one in the show to technically die twice.
Mabel’s apartment looks great…until you find out her aunt sold the apartment. That sucks.
Good to start the first two episodes off with a kidnapping. But even in jail, this won’t be the last time we see Gregg Riviera.
I love it’s now a running gag that this show won’t let Selena Gomez sing in any way. It’s become charming.
So not only is there a new detective being annoyed at podcasters, Oliver is now dealing with the effects of a minor heart attack and what’ll be the cure is…another murder investigation involving the play he wants to try and resurrect. Certainly not the setup we’re used to.
I sort of love that Paul Rudd is the wraparound in how these characters are together but also in how much they mean to each other. Oliver seeing him as the guy to help in his return to Broadway, Charles being the guy who cause his drop in confidence and Mabel having Girlcop be a way her and her mother bonded. It’ll be interesting to see how it develops.

{Spoiler}So right now, the suspects are basically Kimber and Loretta with how Ben was reacting in the recorded video from Tobert. Kimber more so because she seems to have misplaced her hankie but hey, Charles never spoke to Loretta. Both sort of feel too obvious to be them and with how this show is designed, it might not even be them.
Loretta chose Death Rattle Dazzle over Grey's New Orleans Fire Burn Unit?! My sister is a big Grey's watcher so got a big kick out that reference, especially since Jesse Williams is in this season.
Meryl Streep sings and not Selena Gomez?! I mean, to be fair, it was very good and yeah, basically sets both Loretta and Kimber as adversaries and potential murderers. Especially with how quickly Dicky seems to have bonded with Loretta...also sort of sets up Dickie but we'll find out down the line.
I hope I never meet a Donna and Clifford. That motivation for Clifford wanting to fund the play is...no. No. No. NOOOOOO!
Good episode, does the thing where stuff gets ramped up at the end but it feels like the fuse has been lit for explosions.

{Spoiler}It's 100% not Kimber, she's way too obvious. Right now I'm going with Dickie.
The Lullaby Song was f***ing fantastic.

The Lullaby Song was f***ing fantastic. {Spoiler}Oh, it absolutely isn't Kimber, but she's a suspect. It felt like a lot of what Ben was saying involved her but yeah, probable red-herring.
Dickie's a good pick, people were trying to imply Tobert but he also feels like someone with a vendetta rather than someone who'd kill.

{Spoiler}Someone pitched that Ben would be talking about a plate of cookies left in his dressing room which would be hilarious.

Loving the new season so far. It's so nice when a show reaches the point where I'm just happy to see them again. Meryl's been incredible and show has Rudd. And love what Howard's character has become.
Bit over Mable having a new romance every season, that feels overdone.

{Spoiler}Welp, the suspicion has gone from Kimber straight full scale onto Joy. Practically stuttered when she said she wouldn't let Ben harm Charles. At the very least, she might have been the one to poison him on stage that night with makeup. I'm hoping for a Red Herring because man, I just want Charles to be happy.
Having said that, we are no further solving the case of who was in the room with Ben opening night. Loretta? Dickie? The Plate of Cookies?
Oh no, Cinda's back, swooping in and taking advantage of Charles and Oliver being busy with life. Considering the options Mabel has, it's understandable that it's on the table even if it is the Devil you know.
I really want to know what's happening outside of The White Room. Like, it's honestly one of my hopes as the show goes on. Like, if this is Steve Martin's last major acting role, we might as well see him going all out with it.
I also have to say, yes, it's clearly obvious the show is sponsored by State Farm but I sort of love how it's all integrated. Forgot to say last week with Howard singing the jingle was one of the funnier moments this season so far.

{Spoiler}They have to release the outtakes of Steve Martin attempting the song, and him in the White Room. When Charles first walked out for the song, it looked like Selena Gomez was desperately trying to stop herself from breaking.
Of course Mabel wasn't gonna turn against Charles and Oliver. They're her best friends, and really they're second dads to her.
Since they name dropped her, I think Idina Menzel would be a hoot on this show.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}The newest episode had a big focus on family when it comes to Loretta. Talking about the tradition she had with her mom, and the photo that Oliver found at the end. Earlier in the season when singing "Look for the Light", when she sang my darling, she looked right at Dickie. And she's got a scrap book full of Ben's accomplishments with Dickie in the background of every photo. Loretta is Dickie's mom. Perhaps she gave him up for adoption.
I don't think that Tobert's the killer, but I think Mabel made a mistake showing him the murder board. Like he's gonna take some of that information for himself. But it also shows more of the group growing apart this season, which will make their reunion better.
And on the shallow, Selena Gomez in that dress, holy hell. She rocked the f*** out of it, granted that's normal for her.

Finally started watching this show and it’s great. I didn’t grow up with Selena Gomez so this is my first exposure to her and she’s good.
I do have some questions.
1. Who taped the note to Jan’s door? 2. How did Poppy know about all the secret passageways 3. What happens to the head of arcadias evil plans for modernization? 4. I thought it would be brought up that the police were on their way to the Arcadia before bunny got stabbed. Unless the cop boyfriend did that 5. What were the loose ends Mabel was talking about? I thought the two murders would be connected

{Spoiler}Welp, Dickie is firmly back as one of, if not the, main suspects for the murder of Ben. Especially with some of the revelations about CoBro potentially being stolen from Dickie by Ben. Oh, and that whole "buying the bloody napkin" thing which isn't weird at all. Matthew Broderick was a fun side diversion, basically setting up the friendship being potentially re-established by the threesome before Mabel started the new season of the podcast. Also, Mel Brooks! Holy Shit! Speaking of Mabel, Theo being back was pretty cool, Tobert and him making a surprisingly decent combo which I hope keeps up for the rest of the season. With Greg being potentially released, Dickie and Loretta still being suspects and hopefully our favourite trio back together fully to finish the podcast without Cinda influencing her way into things, we're going to get a heck of a bang going towards the end of the season. This season's definitely been more character driven than investigation driven which, honestly, I've liked a lot. I feel like we needed a season where we spent more time with these people than we have and it's made for entertaining television. Definitely doesn't have the same highs as Season 1 or 2 but this was definitely the best episode of the season for moments and character building. I miss Bunny. That edit of Uma being with her and then not was mean.

{Spoiler}Yep, Dickie is Loretta's son.
Matthew Broderick and Mel Brooks were great. Broderick was clearly having a blast.
More Theo, please, hell bump him to a regular for season 4. His chemistry with Selena Gomez is fantastic.

{Spoiler}Matthew Broderick and Mel Brooks were great. Broderick was clearly having a blast. {Spoiler}I'm still laughing over him and Oliver's dialogue.
"Oliver, it ran for 6 years! Several performances a day!"
"Never really matched up time wise. Anyway..."
