I saw this and it was absolute shit, but---why didn't they actually include the scene of Pooh and Piglet eating Eeeyore?
That would have at least made it memorable. If you have a shit horror movie, you might as well go all out with the gruesomeness and silliness. Reminds me of See No Evil cutting Kane's three foot dick. If they left that in, at least people would remember it "oh yeah, the film with the guy with the massive dong"

I forgot this existed until the other day, and I'm glad it's getting panned like it deserves to be. This isn't an interesting new concept or slant on an idea, it's made by cynical and lazy edgelords with nothing to say and who don't understand the thing their film is based on.

And remember, there's also a horror themed Bambi movie being made as well.

It was still better than The Exorcist: Believer. If you want to see someone REALLY not understand the source material…David Gordon Green is the Zach Snyder of Uwe Boll’s.

Asylum's Exorcist Believer ripoff (The Exorcists) is better than Believer. Blood and Honey was exactly what I figured it would be. Dumb and fun. Enjoyed it more than pretty much any other new horror I saw last year. Like the boring ass hell Skinamarink.

If there's any justice this movies will flop and be stuck at the bottom of the bin of nickel and dime stores forever
Bunch of edgelords who claim to be nihilists but only using it as an excuse to be an asshole.

Usually, though as Blumhouse learned on their utterly dogshit Jem and the Holograms movie they shat out, you can still totally lose a bunch of money on a cheap movie if you fail hard enough. Naturally, their profit margins on their films are so high that they probably didn't feel much of a sting, but it at least taught them to not recreate that experiment, and they shied away from licensed projects afterwards in favor of their horror outings. This, ehh... I could see these people milking a couple more of these at best, but there's no way this projected timeline actually comes to fruition. The novelty is not THAT strong to overcome the tediousness of the end result. Wood Rocket with their goofy porn parodies at least have actual porn at the end of the day, so people forgive to an extent that all of the gags are in the trailers and there's no real substance to the joke past that, while this couldn't even muster anything past a poster and title before it ran out of steam.

The thing is, as a huge fan of bad movies, things like Asylum and movies like this? They're too in on the joke.
Tommy Wisseau has done a shitload of work since The Room, since his stupid movie got popular for being terrible, but nobody remembers any of it, because he's in on the f***ing joke now.
There is a very delicate line between making a shit movie that knows it's garbage and making one that thinks it doesn't *need* to be more than garbage and this is so painfully obviously an example of the latter.
This is a goddamn Family Guy cutaway gag like 'hey what if Goofy was openly antisemitic' made into an entire f***ing movie. Only much, much worse

Things like The Room, Samurai Cop, Ed Wood movies, etc. they didn't set out to make a bad movie, they set out to make a Movie, and through either just not having the budget, vision, and/or actual talent to pull off what they wanted produced movies that you can at least tell had some heart put into it. It's why I couldn't vibe with things like Sharknado or the Asylums output in general, these things are clearly made to be bad and with making a quick buck in mind and it comes across really loud and clear.

Yeah, it's gotta be an earnest effort to be a good bad movie. Like those guys in American Movie

They wouldn't be so bad if any actual effort went into them. Ok--a horror Winnie the Pooh movie sounds stupid anyway. BUT, the concept can work. The horror Banana Splits movie is pretty much the same thing. But it actually worked because some effort was put into making a decent film and didn't just rely on "that thing you enjoyed as a kid is a horror movie now" to sell.

It had a lot of the bad writing of the times... but 1. it was meant to be a parody of those movies and 2. you could tell it was made with love to that era of film making.
