It definitely has the Rogue One vibes.

Should have been called "Endor" and only feature Ewoks.

I too was hoping for Ewoks. Damn this thread for not giving me my teddy bear people.

Im sure this will be decent but who was crying out for an Andor show? He was the most forgettable character in Rogue One.

He was, but the movie made a billion dollars at the box office and Star Wars shows consistently top the most-watched list on Disney+, so a spinoff of some sort was inevitable. Andor was really the only character they could have used.

Mando, Boba Fett, Obi-Wan, and Disney is like "just give them six episodes, see how they do". This joker? "We want twelve episode in season one and another twelve ready to go once those are over!!!". Seriously, who was asking for a Cassian Andor series? Im sure this will be decent but who was crying out for an Andor show? He was the most forgettable character in Rogue One. He was, but the movie made a billion dollars at the box office and Star Wars shows consistently top the most-watched list on Disney+, so a spinoff of some sort was inevitable. Andor was really the only character they could have used. I suppose it depends on actor availability, but I feel there's a lot more potential in a series showing what Jyn was up to between Saw abandoning her and when we first saw her in Rogue One. Or a series about Chirrut and Baze traveling around helping people in the name of the Guardians of the Whills.

I'm convinced we're closer to a Lak Sivrak show or a Lott Dodd Christmas Special

The advantage of it being about a relatively "obscure" character is we might get some actually world building instead of the constant nostalgia/main story tie ins we are normally subjected to. For that alone I am looking forward to this.

Disney+ is leaving money on the table by not giving us a Nien Nunb series, complete without subtitles.

For that alone I am looking forward to this. With Mon Mothma second-billed in the cast and the showrunner from House of Cards writing several episodes we're definitely getting a ton of senate-based stuff. Hopefully it'll play better than the political aspects of the prequels.

Wait, they’re making a spin-off series out of “that one guy” from Rogue One?
Um, ok?

Hey now, as pointed out by Red Letter Media Rouge One did so have many fan favorite memorable characters and moments:
(Language Warning)
They just weren't the original characters made for the film.

I feel like this show was announced before Disney+ even came out.
I gotta tell you, I could not give even half a shit about this guy or anyone from Rogue One...
