Greta Van Fleet. There have been tons of bands over the years that sound like Led Zeppelin, but nearly every GVF song is like a Jimmy Hart WCW theme version of a particular Zeppelin song. Probably because Zeppelin stole most of their riffs from other people and probably don't want anyone looking into it ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) Absolutely true. And they got sued plenty of times over it by Willie Dixon, Howlin' Wolf, and others.

Hirohiko Araki... Just Hirohiko Araki. That would explain why before the Anime was released, the game based on Stardust Crusaders (Heritage For The Future) had some name changes while Phantom Blood & Golden Wind's PS2 games were only released in Japan.

Since they were mentioned earlier, I’m surprised The Offspring got away with Why Don’t You Get a Job? It’s basically Ob La Di Ob La Da.

Surprised that the Australian band Jet never got sued. Not for that familiar opening to “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” because lots of songs use that tune like: Lust For Life, A Town Called Malice, You Can’t Hurry Love .. I guess that tune is free for the taking.
I talking about that song that blatantly used the tune for “Girl U Want” by Devo.

Australian production company Working Dog known for making TV shows like Frontline, The Panel, Thank God Your Here, Russel Coight’s All Aussie Adventures and movies like The Castle, and The Dish. Once tried their hands at an animated show called “Pacific Heat” and it was such a rip off of “Archer” in tone, theme and animation style (yet clearly much cheaper) I’m surprised FX did not sue pants off them.

Did Uncle Buck ever end up getting sued by Bug?
Kidnapping and assault with a golf ball seem like serious offenses.

![](https://thumbs.gfycat.com/ImperturbableFrailCrownofthornsstarfish-size_restricted.gif) EDIT: I guess there was a lawsuit after all. I swear, I thought Bowie blew the whole thing off. To be fair, that bassline was written by John Deacon anyways, so if anyone was going to get upset about it he would. Bear in mind this all happened immediately after Freddie's death so I would not be shocked if they were short on patience with BS at that time. Also, you were not wrong originally. There apparently was no actual lawsuit as there was a settlement before a suit was brought forward. Had that not happened there definitely would have been one.

ESPN should have been sued over their Awesome Video Segment but Daniel Tosh did get revenge of sorts.
Fox, CNN, and all the other news channels who were spreading misinformation about Stella Liebeck suing McDonald's. They made her life hell by spreading lies about what happened.

Shortly after Sasha Baron Cohen sued a Massachusetts cannabis dispensary for using an image of Borat on a billboard without his permission, it made me immediately think of a car dealership on a Rhode Island highway that had a giant neon billboard with an image of Lionel Richie that said "HELLO ... IS IT DEALS YOU'RE LOOKING FOR?"
All I could think every time I drove by it was how hard they were seemingly trying to get sued, but, to my knowledge, unless a cease-and-desist quietly came and went, they never did.

I am humilated to admit that I never caught that until this post, and now I can't unhear it. I'm a tad surprised that Sarah Barellis not only never went after Katy Perry for 'Roar' knocking off the melody from 'Brave', but found it amusing

The Asylum's entire business model is to make movies that push as close to infringing copyright as it can possibly get without actually infringing copyright.

Fox, CNN, and all the other news channels who were spreading misinformation about Stella Liebeck suing McDonald's. They made her life hell by spreading lies about what happened. Yeah, probably the most successful corporate propaganda of all time is that she sued over "coffee being hot"

I'm surprised Marty McFly didn't sue Chuck Berry for stealing "Johnny B Goode"
