Go as over the top as possible and turn it into a full-on Bollywood gimmick, it'd be great.

I thought it would be dumb when I saw him in his room dancing…then I loved it once it got to the arena
Dude’s arms are hilariously long, so it makes his dancing even more over the top and I love it

I will say, of all the weird hosses Vince has a fetish for lately, Shanky has improved the most
That's not saying a lot, but that superkick he threw was really clean, and he seems legitimately really into this gimmick and getting it over. I know the "Big Guy dancing gimmick" is side eyed a lot, but Shanky might raise his stock with this, way more than it was at before.

He should have an Austin Powers type gimmick, with a catchphrase "anyone want some Shanky Panky"

It would've helped if Shanky could actually dance...
...sometimes I think WWE writers just tell these guys to go out there and do random shit. Clearly-- Shanky is not a good dancer. Why would they give him this gimmick if he's not a good dancer?! It worked for Fandango because Dirty Curty has the charisma to make it work, and decent moves.
Shanky awkwardly gyrating towards the ring announcer was horrific.

This is firmly in "throw anything at the wall and see if it sticks" territory, so it was probably this or just fire the guy.

If you make it work you can just coast off it for years, if only on the indies, while if you don't you're probably out the door sooner rather than later. Nobody ever seems to just have it as a minor forgettable blip other than, like, Albert.

Right, like you have some like Kurrgan who didn't really go anywhere after and (intelligently) left to pursue acting, and then occasional successes like Kozlov, where it actually got over.

That spot where he taps the dude's head and superkicks them when they turn around is $$$$. Shanky is for the children.

He might get over more than Veer and that's saying something Shanky vs. Veer for the WWE title at Wrestlemania 39.
