I have heard rumors of her having a bad rep on the indy scene prior to her NWA run. I dunno if anyone here knows anything Now Britt liked the tweet as well while not sandbagging Britt shoul probably be the last person to like it as both She made her career on looking good on defeat vs Rosa. She never makes her opponent look good

Marina liked both of these tweets and I will say that its a bad look on Rosa if she really sandbagged Marina on purpose(that rough suplex you could tell something wrong was happening).
I have heard rumors of her having a bad rep on the indy scene prior to her NWA run. I dunno if anyone here knows anything Ivelisse has repeatedly claimed that Rosa was stiffing and sandbagging her during their Lucha Underground and AEW matches but well, it’s Ivelisse who isn’t exactly known for being professional herself.

Britt is the last person who should be throwing shade for “no selling.”

Britt is the last person who should be throwing shade for “no selling.” Unless you got examples of Britt sandbagging and deliberately making opponents look bad, then that had absolutely nothing to do with what we're talking about here. Not everything has to be a Britt thread, you know? If what these tweets are saying is true, then yeah, that was very unprofessional of Rosa and bad for everybody involved. No idea what may have happened between them and I'm not going to immediately say Rosa's terrible/get the title off of her or anything like that, but... You shouldn't ever pull anything like in a tv match (or really any match, since sandbagging can lead to dangerous botched moves, hi Hardcore Holly), and if she did it should be made 100% clear to her it won't be tolerated.

This company really needs a better PR team.
Probably the fourth time this year I've said it.

Might be a hot take but, whatever…
Thunder Rosa ain’t that good. She’s shit on the mic and average in the ring. Great look, great theme, great energy though.

Britt needs to stay in her lane.
Curious if Rosa actually sandbagged or if she's still working hurt. If it's bad enough that it's affecting her matches, they should probably get the title off her pretty soon.

I don't know what happened. Was Rosa out of it (like still sick)? Was she being unprofessional on purpose? Was it actually Rosa or a Skrull Rosa? I don't know.

I'm with you, not gelling with the "Britt needs to shut up with the way she works" narrative here, she has never actively sandbagged a wrestler, botching a move or being sloppy at points isn't sandbagging someone, and given how much she has worked Rosa in the past year, her liking the post should raise an alarm, not start another "Britt Baker hate train", because there might be something there if she is liking a random post about the situation. Marina is also not known for having any attitude problems, so her liking the post and giving it attention means she at the very least thinks she was sandbagged, and that needs to be taken care of if it was a misunderstanding. It doesn't make sense to me that Rosa would intentionally sandbag someone when she's been wanting more TV Time. She might still be somewhat injured, I'm just hoping all is well on that front... but two wrestlers you actively work with liked a post that accused you of sandbagging... she needs to squash that and fast, because it doesn't look good.

Could've just been a miscommunication/them being in different head spaces during the match. Obviously if Rosa was deliberately trying to sabotage Marina then that sucks, and absolutely should not be tolerated if it happens again (not counting Ivelisse here because LOL).

I have heard rumors of her having a bad rep on the indy scene prior to her NWA run. I dunno if anyone here knows anything I think another poster touched on it a little in one of the (W)rest threads, but I can't find the post. That was me, and I'd have beaten the drum harder if I wasn't far too lazy to browse twitter looking for relevant tweets and/or make .gifs of the matches.
Besides, 90% of the criticism I've seen of Thunder Rosa is that she works too stiff and refuses to dial it back because, in most cases, she's going to win a real fight with the other girls so they can't do anything about it, and she's enough of a draw that promoters aren't going to hold raising a few extra bruises and goose eggs against her. And to be fair, I don't mean she works reckless or that she's genuinely trying to hurt people, she's just relentlessly stiff. And again to be fair to Rosa I haven't heard her complain when someone works stiff back.
All the same, I very much agree with Raven's take on stiffness - pro wrestling is supposed to look like it hurts when it doesn't and if it does you're doing it wrong.
This sandbagging thing afaik popped up the first time with Ivelisse - and again to be fair to Rosa it looked like Ive was the one who did the sandbagging, although to be fair to Ive she said she sandbagged because she was tired of being potatoed. But after the Baker match there were people saying that both of them did some sandbagging, and some people saying Baker was angry about being stiffed.
I haven't seen the Rosa/Shafir match, so I won't comment on it other than saying that I think this forum's criticism of Shafir is overblown to the point of practically being a meme.

Then she should say it instead of liking tweets that may or may not be about the situation, like a grown-up. (I admit I have a disproportionate hatred of this vague calling-someone-out-on-the-internet-but-not-really stuff).

Thunder Rosa either puts on great matches or clunky messes and nothing in between. If she intentionally sandbagged Marina then that's f***ed but they weren't on the same page that match at all.

Eh, I am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. Marina really isnt very good, and it may just have been bad communication and Marina not being experienced in working the style Rosa was working.
She has basically come straight from WWE, so it's not like she has the knowledge base to draw from that Rosa's experience would have.
In that case, it feels more like an issue for the match agent to have sorted before they went out there.
But, I'm also willing to accept I just like Thunder Rosa and may be defending her cos I'm a fan <shrugs>!

Usually I'd be completely against Britt here for being unprofessional. But... giphy.com/embed/XsCIIoxGOEVySVPx7DThere was some "That doesn't work for me, brother" going on in the Shafir match. Still unprofessional, but Rosa was acting up.

It would probably be infinitely more productive if Britt Baker, Marina Shakir, Thunder Rosa, and whoever else needed to be there was brought into a room with an agent to get whatever they needed off their chest and talk out their issues AWAY from social media.
