{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}There was a credit for "Assistant to Ms. Steinfeld".... leading one to think we will get Kate Bishop in the show. Did we ever get something on this?

So I’m assuming that because they’re messing around with Kamala’s origins and powers just like they did with Carol’s that… {Spoiler}…maybe Kamala doesn’t do much have inherent Inhuman DNA but Instead has inherent Kree DNA. This would lead to a closer connection between Kamala and Carol in “The Marvels”. Hell, maybe she does have Inhuman DNA and the bangle lets her access the powers without going through Terrigenesis for some strange reason.
Either way I’m convinced Kamran and his mother are both still Inhumans like the comics. With Black Bolt’s appearance In MoM I’m not quite sure Marvel’s version of the Inhumans won’t come out of this still.

Just finished the second episode. I don't know, my feelings on the show so far are mixed. I'm enjoying it, but it feels like too much teenage girl/my so-called life stuff, and not enough superhero world-building. Hopefully it'll start picking up from here on out.

That was a really nice episode. Although for me personally, a little jarring that {Spoiler}{spoiler}oh the villains are this group of regular-ass-looking genies who just plopped in from another dimension, and include Killer Kross, apparently But this show's strengths are its fun vibe and portrayal of family relationships anyway, so I'm not particularly put off by that. Also {Spoiler}{spoiler}Holy shit Bruno you took a sick bump yo

So if Kamala is half Djinn does that mean she's basically Shantae?

{Spoiler}I really want to like this show more then I do, but I'm just not feeling it. The pacing so far has just been horrible. It's spending way too much time establishing every little thing in Kamala's personal life and not nearly enough time on actual superhero stuff. We're three episode in and we haven't even seen Kamala in her official outfit yet. I was hoping now that they'd establish an actual threat to her with the evil Djinn things would start picking up, but it looks like we're getting a side trip to Karachi next week, which seems like a total waste after spending all this time establishing the Jersey City setting.
Even the "requisite for a show set in New Jersey" Bon Jovi song didn't help things because it just felt awkwardly out of place.

Not having all the elements of the hero fall into place until the end is par the course

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Going by the previous MCU shows on Disney+, we probably won’t get her costume until the last episode (Moon Knight being the exception). {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Even before D+, Daredevil didn't get his until the 13th episode, while Iron Fist and Luke Cage only got theirs in flashbacks. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}The Netflix shows were also infamous for being dragged out and padded, even when they were at their best. They also had a lot more going on with the main stories of the season a lot earlier (well, except Iron Fist). Maybe not everybody was in costume and Kingpin and Cottonmouth hadn't been fully established yet, but there were fights to fight and bad guys to stop by the end of episode one. Here we have all these sub-plots going that don't really seem necessary like Nakia campaigning to be on the Mosque Council or all the little details of Aamir's wedding. There's nothing even resembling a real, established threat until the Clandestine decide to raid the wedding at the end of episode three, which wasn't helped by how surprisingly out of place that Bon Jovi song they played felt. And while I'm sure it will pay off by the end of the season, even Damage Control's actions seem disconnected from the rest of the story.
Another poster said this was a "pain by numbers superhero story", but no, it really isn't. It feels more like a docu-drama about the average life a Muslim-American teenager. And while I have no problem with a show like that, it's not the one I signed up for.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Wow, that was a tearjerker of an episode. But some good tears, like Aisha being happy in death because Kamala was there, and if her great granddaughter was there that means that Sana made it out alive, and has lived a full life. And then Kamala handing Nani the photo.
Superhero media, educating people on stuff they didn't really know about. The Partition in this episode, Watchmen educating people about the Tulsa race massacre, and Legends of Tomorrow educating about how much of a badass Bass Reeves was.
Now, for the shallow. Helen of Troy may have been the face that launched a thousand ships, but judging by reaction, Aisha is the face that launched a million simps. And I'm one of them. Hell, both Aisha and Hasan are very attractive people.

Did we ever get something on this? {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Nothing since then.... I guess we'll see next week, maybe a post-credit scene? Although, I would think if there was any surprise it would maybe be Monica Rambeau setting up The Marvels... I don't know.

Not quite in the same style but… {Spoiler}…it was noticed by some that when the ClanDestine touched the veil what happened to their bodies was basically a sped up process of what happened to non-Inhumans that touched the Terrigen Mist on Agents of Shield.
