My pick: Adam Page went from hot in-ring prospect with no character and awkward mid-length hair to bone-afide main event worker and storyteller. Honorable kudos to Britt Baker for recovering from her abysmal babyface start. The Daily's Place Era atmosphere did wonders for her confidence. We'll have to revisit this thread in 2026 when HOOK is the master and ruler of the world. Page really has come a long way from being the guy nobody here wanted to be the first champ.

I know it’s been a minute, but once she came back from injury, Statlander has been just on fire. I think Statlander has been aces in the right since Day 1, but probably needs a manager to get over the final hump. Stokely and Jade will tear her apart on the mic. She could join Sydal's loose association of friends / protiges ... or make another rap song with Platinum Max.

Wardlow going from non-descript big man henchman for MJF to one of the most over faces on the roster is incredible.

I think it's a bit underappreciated how hard Red Velvet clearly works. A year ago she was still very green, but pretty much every time I've seen her she's better and smoother than the time before, and since turning heel has found a new gear and both of her last matches have been really good. I actively look forward to her matches now.

I think Britt Baker has improved greatly in ring.

Wardlow, Jade Cargill, Yuta, and Red Velvet are my picks. But there's a lot of good choices.

I'm going to give some love to Jungle Boy. Like, he's always had the ability but say what you will about how long the Christian Cage angle is taking, him being paired with him has improved his mic skills about 100 fold. He's nowhere near the best talker in the company but from where he was before, its almost night and day.

Absolutely Scorpio Sky. Other people like Yuta and Jade have improved more but I didn't doubt that they would if they got used right and before I became a fan I was indifferent to him. Sky I actively disliked in TNA, couldn't stand when he and SCU became the first tag champs, and found intolerable even once he turned heel. Then at some point after he joined up with Page, I went from actively detesting him to loving when he showed up to see if he would get his shit ruined to marking out when he kept being an asshole. How did this happen? HE'S STILL PLAYING PS3 LIKE A HEATHEN Scorpio Sky and Shawn Spears both exponentially improved once they got FAR away from one another Now we just need Sky to get a protection order banning Sammy Guevara from being in a 500 radius of him Speaking of Spears, he's been NAILING it ever since he got the chair freak gimmick and started working as MJF's lackey. He seriously has one of the best entrances in AEW

It's a shame whatever's going on with MJF has basically left him directionless right now because he was made to be a right hand man for a heel.

Has to be Wardlow for me. I didn't give a damn about him 6 months ago.
Jade obviously has improved massively but she always had 'It' which I don't think Wardlow did.

Shawn Spears is a good choice, too. He's perfect as the heel stooge that's also a threat. He's gone from the dull, Neverending feud with Scorpio Sky to a solid midcarder.

I'm gonna throw a little bit of a curveball here and say Dax Harwood.
Dude has always been good (though FTR had some adjustment pains when they first showed up), but he could legit be a top-of-the-card, World Championship guy if it was something he wanted right now.

I'd say Wheeler too, as good as the team was, Wheeler was always the other guy. While Dax is still better, Cash had been stelping up too the last few months.

It’s weird, nothing about FTR really changed, it just felt like their style was right place right time and the matches they’ve put on have some extra spice because of it.
Also, the RJ City interview with them is tremendous, if they don’t do the face entrance soon I’ll be bummed.

When they first showed up, they didn't have that feel of (to use their terminology), "Top Guys". I feel like ever since that match against Anthony Greene and Curt Stallion (*vomit*), they found their groove in AEW.

Jade, Velvet or Statlander for me. Key pieces to the division now, in which the same couldn't be said a year or two ago.
