This just sucks, one of the most over acts in all of wrestling and now we might not see him for awhile
WWE losing Cody and Orton long term like this is really, really bad. Couple that with Roman now making limited dates with both belts, and their whole promotion feels like it's a slog right now, and it's their fault as they booked themselves into this corner with almost no way out.
I just wish him the best, one of his best career runs, sucks it's taking a major backseat like this. Guess now we know Riddle's promo was very genuine.

"Heh, good thing we didn't release 60% of the roster, right guys?" "..." We kept saying it, you cut your roster, and what happens if your top stars start getting injured, or get disgruntled? In the past month alone, Cody's gone for maybe the rest of this year, Orton's gone for maybe the rest of this year, and Sasha Banks may be GONE gone Their ability to cover up and replace these stars is showing, in that they have no one built up to replace them, nor does it feel like they give enough of a shit to elevate anyone to do so. Couple this with Roman basically taking a summer vacation with both belts, it's a downright skeleton crew right now, and we have to deal with lower card feuds like Omos vs The Dirty Dawgs... it's a nightmare.

Think you’re overselling this a bit. The shows have been really good the last few weeks, including the PPVs. And that’s without Sasha, without Orton, Cody now gone. They’ve covered up the losses quite well and have actually done a great job of creating and building up stars for the mid card and main event scene the last few years, especially considering the number of main eventers they’ve lost/cut in recent years (Danielson, Wyatt, Strowman, Ambrose, Sasha).

Who the hell is Roman going to face in the Summerslam main event at this point (if he’s even on the show)? Orton injured. Cody injured. The Riddle match is happening on TV. They did the Cena match last year. Drew is probably being saved for the UK show. If they even attempt to do Brock again God help us all. I’m hoping Owens and Zayn will be winning the tag titles on that PPV. Edge and Balor will be facing each other. I can’t see Rollins and heel v heel main eventing a big stadium show. It’s one thing doing it at the Rumble when it’s not the main selling point. Lashley is probably the most realistic option I can think of right now. Lashley is the best option. I also wouldn’t mind face Styles vs. heel Roman. We haven’t seen that yet.

It's really debatable, yes some of the shows are fun, but some of them can get pretty boring, and slog a bit, and be filled with a shit ton of rematches, and feuds noticeably going way longer than they should I'm not saying they're screwed or anything, I'm saying gutting the roster as they have and now losing top talent like they are, is showing some gaps. They still have a lot of talent, but they're kinda stuck in the same Roman lock that they've been in for years now, so that also factors in to the show progressing period. But yes, the shows have been a bit better lately, I've even thought so, it's why the timing's been unfortunate.

Cutting the rosters like they did was not smart, but they’ve definitely still been churning out new over mid card and main event stars the last few years notwithstanding (most notably Drew, Bianca, Riddle, Lashley, Rhea, Profits, E and more recently with Gunther, Theory and Raquel).

Awful news. This Orton was the most likable he has ever been as a face and he seemed to be focused and really having fun out there, losing him for the rest of the year is another massive blow to WWE.
Hopefully he'll be back and pick up where he left off.

Everyone speculating as to who could face Roman at SummerSlam forgetting that Undertaker is patiently waiting by his phone as we speak. He DID say at the end of his HOF speech ''never say never'' Remember that poll I put up asking if Taker should come back for a full time run? If he does, that ones on me. My bad.
