The HIAC match in 2014 was their best match by far.

To use a cooking show cliche, here’s one I prepared earlier… According to cagematch, Miz and Ziggler have had 23 singles matches (5 on PPV). 22 of them were between 2012-2016, then one in August 2019. Miz and Kofi have 24 (3 on PPV) ranging from 2009-2021, but only four of them are since 2014. Miz, Ziggler and Kingston are like the dictionary definition of utility opponents, which is why all three have had about 800 televised matches EACH (Ziggler on 827, Kingston on 823 and Miz on 788).

I'm absolutely in the minority but I enjoyed most of their matches and thought they worked really well together.

And I can't remember any of them. It's so weird, they're both S tier performers but for whatever reason their matches against each other were always missing something. Cena's rivalries with Edge and CM Punk were always more interesting.

In WWE the most repeated matches will forever be the least desired ones.

Haven't the Uso's and New Day been feuding on and off for the last seven years? Also, wasn't there a time in like 2005, where they were trying to make Carlito vs. Shelton Benjamin that era's Rock vs. Triple H, with the plan of them moving up the ranks together?

Overkill or not, I rewatch that I Quit match quite often because on top of other factors, Orton’s expressions and character work are amazing.

Maybe initially but it was pretty clear Shelton had fallen out of favor around that time and that it was more about putting Carlito over as I think he literally won all of their matches. Shelton then got the dreaded losing streak angle which then led to him turning heel and being managed by his "Mom".
