Huge bust, late 1st, generic white guy. Yeah, that's cheeks. Brogdon is pretty good when healthy. That probably is gonna cause friction with Marcus Smart bc he thinks it's his team, but we all saw you on offense in the Finals, Smart. The fewer shots Marcus Smart takes the better, and I love him as a player but the Celtics whole turn around in the second half of last season is when Smart stepped up distributed instead of playing hero ball. Smart sometimes knows his place on the team, but other times thinks he's still at oSu as the leading scorer. Brogdon is a way more efficient shooter and looks to facilitate most of the time. But he's not nearly as good on defense as Smart. Looks like a timeshare at PG, which Brogdon will totally understand and Smart will at times pout but he can't blame anyone else. If nothing else, Brogdon is an upgrade over White, who is also a combo guard who isn't an amazing passer.

Keep in mind, Utah traded for first round pick yesterday so they have good collateral now and if things don't work with Donovan you can add probably another 3 picks to that haul

I like Vanderbilt, and the picks probably end up being middle of the draft. Minny is talented, but man is this deal a head-scratcher. I know KAT is kinda like AD in that he's best at the 5 but isn't huge on playing there. But Gobert cannot operate anywhere other than the post on offense. Kinda makes a Simmons/Embiid situation IMO. Forcing a spacing issue for someone who is mediocre on offense.
But on the plus side for Minny, this deal opens up minutes for Jaden McDaniels and they are sky high on him. Not sure if he's worth the hype, but it's worth finding out.

If this is the haul for RUDY GOBERT the value for Durant has to have SKYROCKETED.

If this is the haul for RUDY GOBERT the value for Durant has to have SKYROCKETED. Well, Nets said they want a historic offer for KD and they are most likely going to get it Just a matter of what team caves first

My lord that’s A LOT. But that’s an intriguing team now.
Jazz should turn around and trade all of that for KD.

I wouldn't put it past them but they don't really have a young player worth dealing since obviously Nets would want Mitchell and that ain't happening I'd say keep an eye on Clips. People should keep an eye on Cavs

The pick Boston traded to Indiana is Top 12 protected and will convert to a 2nd round if it doesn't hit

It makes no sense to trade him to either Miami or Phx if you going gut the team full of players
Playing with Bam is out the question tho. You going have to give up Bam, Herro and every pick you got for the next 7 seasons

Denver would be a really good landing spot for KD BUT problem is MPJ has a rookie scale extension and you can't have two players on the same team with that contract as Simmons is on a Rookie/Rose max contract

Word coming out is Joe Tsai is ready to move on
He has done everything they have asked and got minimal in return. He has told them to make moves and he's paid the tax for those moves but everything has gone left from Kyrie not wanting to get the vaccine, to the Harden trade and the Simmons deal

Garnett, Pierce, Williams, Johnson. Harden, Durant, Irving, Griffin. Too bad as they had nice young pieces in 2019-20 with Allen and LeVert and Dinwiddle.

Well, diff is they gutted their team to get Pierce, Garnett etc They basically still had the full roster outside of D'Lo when they got KD and Kyrie. They traded those pieces essentially to get the 3rd star and if we are being honest, the volatile nature of Kyrie disrupted everything. If he was willing to play this year, the chemistry issues doesn't plague this team but Kyrie wanted to be a "free spirit" and with him clearing having one foot out the door, the Nets had a winning situation and lost it I said 3 years ago, the Nets only had a two year window to win

That Gobert trade is horrible for the Wolves. They ain’t the Heat. They have no history of a winning culture. To give away so many unprotected picks over that many years (plus a swap in between) is insane. Especially since they already have KAT.

If they kept that team and added some pieces through the draft like Cade/Mobley/Barnes the would be in a real good place. All those traded picks are going to haunt them for a LONG time.
