Hogan-Andre at WrestleMania IV. I would also wonder how they passed up a Savage/Steamboat rematch in the tournament bracket Well, at the time that would have been Face vs Face, which was EXTREMELY rare. That and Steamboat had kind of fallen out of favor with McMahon and company for taking time off while IC champ IIRC.

I would also wonder how they passed up a Savage/Steamboat rematch in the tournament bracket Like the guy above said...face vs face..but they still should've pulled the trigger on it. That tournament was a mess. Not only did it need better matches, it needed more drama. My friends and I were just kids at the time (12-13) and even we knew who was winning..right down to predicting Hogan-Andre first round bye leading to either countout or disqualification. They needed to go back to the drawing board. Oh well...at least Demolition won the titles here... highlight of the event. For the record, I'm not knocking Savage winning the title. It just shouldn't have been so predictable.

The Shield triple-threat should've been a classic that headlined WrestleMania. Instead it was a fine but totally unremarkable main event on one of the B-level PPVs (Backlash, maybe?). Battleground 2016.

(couldn't find a full version on a quick look) Yeah, DiBiase was supposed to win the title, while Savage was going to get the Intercontinental Title back. But, they couldn’t force Honky Tonk Man to drop it. So, they rearranged the brackets so Savage could win.

How about Angle/Hogan King Of The Ring 02? Even more than just the match happening, Hogan lost. Clean, and I think for the only time in his career, via tapout.

Ric Flair VS Arn Anderson at Fall Brawl 1995. Two legends who had been friends for years finally blow up and start fighting with one another. And, it has a great story behind, with Flair able to throw the fact that Anderson never won a world title in his face while Anderson can retort that his role as The Enforcer was why Flair had so many World Title reigns. It was a killer feud in the making.
And, it took a backseat to Hulk Hogan's lame ass feud with The Dungeon Of Doom.

(couldn't find a full version on a quick look) It's still a mess...it's actually worse. If you go with an alternate timeline with Dibiase winning, without Savage available, slim pickings for the final round. Hogan-Andre is off the table...Jake? It would've put the crowd to sleep. A few things could have improved the bracket... Bad News Brown should've been included. Honkeytonk should've been included. I know this removes a title match from the event but it adds much needed drama. Have him guarantee he's winning the world title...he wins in the first round...and people would wonder if he's really gonna do it. This would also free up Beefcake to be added as well. Hell...their match could have been in the first round. Bigelow was wasted in this. If that's all you're going to let him do, just throw him in the battle royal.

Guess it can be said it was the first time that Face Hogan lost by submission then. He technically also lost by submission at Starrcade 1997 to Sting, but that whole match was a mess when it didn't need to be.

I’ve never bought the idea that they couldn’t make HTM drop the IC title so they completely rebooked the biggest show of the year.
Tell me they couldn’t have just fired his ass, claimed Savage beat him for it, and all of us wouldn’t have bought it.

And while he is an entertaining storyteller he is far from the truth often. It's like what Brickhouse Brown told a pile of us about 5 months before he passed."If a wrestler tells ya the sky is blue you better go outside and double check. We are always working ALWAYS WORKING!"
