Ok, so thanks to Reddit, it would seem the mystery has been solved.
Someone didnt disclose their involvement in another organisation and triggered their morality clause (which was rumoured when he was released as it was on gay twitter at the time but with no proof).
Search "Cole Dallas UCW" if so inclined.
It's just the same sort of stuff Sammy Guevara did, and many other before that.

And yeah, lots of guys have done them, like Rollins, among others. I'm more okay with them using him than when the prevailing thought was maybe some sort of drug infraction, which would have probably been imprudent. Wonder if they maybe felt bad for him and thus the fast track here, or what.

I guess AEW either has no morality clause, or he told them, where as it seems he didnt tell WWE, which was the issue.

Dude hits a TKO and then whiffed a 450. He managed to shit on 2 different Scorpio’s finishes back to back.

So I went to that site and saw they had a guy named Billy Gunn on the roster, sadly it was was not the Ass Man we all know and love

Oh good he just did fetish stuff. That's so relieving actually? The question of 'if he's a minor why has everyone been using him' has been a weird bother, but that's all fine.

Then I hear Roberts announce him as being from “Charleston West Virginia” and I’m like ‘wait…Wut? Who the f*** IS this dude and how have l never heard of him?” Which means August 17th he’s gonna answer the TNT Title Open Challenge I guess 😂 Not gonna lie, when he was coming out to that Conway pop and they announced him as being from Charleston, my brain was immediately like "Welp, someone decided they needed to get a hometown hero built up in time for the Charleston show." Granted, "Cole Karter" might be one of the most West Virginian names I've heard for quite a while. Speaking of West Virginians, I'm actually surprised Heath MillerSlater hasn't floated through AEW at some point, even as a short-term thing like Cardona did.

I would absolutely LOVE a quick Heath run in AEW. And I dunno for sure…but you could tell me Cole is a G.W. High school alum and I would 100% believe it based on nothing but looking at him 😂

I was there live. It was less the crowd hating Karter and more so them loving Ricky

He'll immediately be over if he tries to use his terrible New York accent and talks about someone needing to "clean his cars".

Fightful Select are reporting he has some kind of deal with AEW. Most likely a tiered deal.

This dude is as bland as can be.
Yet, he’s still one of the better prospects they’ve had since NXT 2.0 started. That should tell you everything you need to know.

AEW isn't about having a prospect tank though. They never have been. They do have young guns like Garrison, Dante, Darius, Skye, etc, but they don't have a developmental system for them. That might change with ROH though, hence getting a guy like this.

Cody made some comment about AEW not hiring Heath ages ago, but he did also clarify he was kidding, I think, and not being serious. Hasn't he been working Impact?

I’m saying that as an indictment on what an embarrassment the Performance Center is.

I mean, AEW did sign a 16 year old, but that's got a lot of conditions attached like finishing high school first. And to his credit he is like absurdly good.

Yeah, they got Nick Wayne, but Nick hasn't been on TV or anything. GCW keeps using the kid, but Tony hasn't put him out there yet, and for decent reason. With the weirdness over Karter and the rumours he wasn't an adult, the fact he'd been on Dark in like 2020 made things extra strange sounding.

Oh for SURE, especially given the apparent rule that you have to improve within like three months or you get spit out.
