I want this post blown up into giant posters that are hung all around the arena so that when Vince inevitably comes out to say his goodbyes in-ring on Monday or even tonight, people don't f***ing cheer and bow for him again, because he's a rapist piece of shit who's leaving because he's finally being exposed for shit he thought he could get away with for decades, and maybe how he "gave us" Wrestlemania 3 or whatever isn't really pertinent. Pat McAfee's latest Tweet was basically fellating Vince for his accomplishments. Unfortunately that is going to be the theme on social media, most likely. |

Gang, I promise you, you do not need to thank total strangers facing massive sexual assault allegations regardless how they've entertained you.
I'm not trying to take a shot at anyone, and this is a legit pretty traumatic major news story that we're all processing, all of us on some level feeling this at our core if only at the very least for the omnipresence Vince has had in most of our lives since we started watching.
But there are sexual assault survivors who are going to be reading your posts on here, reading your posts on social media and even if you don't intend or even feel the echoes of how painful it can be, please consider how potentially minimizing your choice of words at this particular moment can be before you post.
It's the day someone has been credibly accused of sexual assault is finally facing consequences. More than absolutely anything else, that's the bottom line on what today is.

Just processing… I’m grateful for the product Vince gave us. I would have not gotten involved in this crazy business if not for Rock ‘n’ Wrestling, SNME, Hogan, Andre, Savage, Warrior and hundreds of other faces and memories to dot the landscape. And I’m grateful for his greatest creation - The Undertaker. The shadowy mystical character who went from undead zombie to biker to legend. And for Attitude in my early 20s, for Austin, Rock, Triple H, Mankind and so many others. And then I think of Ruthless Aggression, which birthed Cena, Orton, Lesnar, Angle and those icons. Even in the era of PG, the names CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, AJ Lee, Becky Lynch, Asuka, Sasha Banks were all given a chance.
This is the good. But I think of the price paid for those memories too. The darker chapters named Moolah, Snuka, Zahorian, Eddie, Benoit. And the darkest page of all bears the single name of Owen. Worse… names I don’t know and stories untold of people hurt, lives ruined, dreams evaporated. This too is the story and the legacy.
It’s… very complicated. And I probably can’t say right all that I should or give voice well to the thoughts in my brain. It’s all there, all of it. I hope every story and name I spoken then in time, not at the expense of a single name, no matter how big.

With Triple H back in talent relations and Vince gone, I expect things are going to get a lot more interesting for a lot of talent. There's a lot of people AEW picked up whose loyalty to Trips is well known, and it's tough to say what they'd do when their contracts are up, but there's a lot of acts who might want to give WWE another shot or who get a lot of money waved toward them. Guys like Adam Cole and FTR were never going to have a chance in a Vince-booked product, but this changes things big time. Conversely, does Cody manage to keep his push when he comes back now that Vince is gone and Triple H, who was pretty loud about him not being a main eventer, is in a much more prominent position again? This is going to have real huge consequences for a lot of wrestlers, and we might see some pretty crazy jumps coming.

Vince was probably the only person on board for Brock's ridiculous contract...holy shit things are getting interesting quick... Possible. I never got the impression that HHH was close with Brock. |
