I just realized, commentary now has one less screaming insane old man in their headset.

I think that the moment the initial story broke, with the investigation by the board, Vince's days at the helm were numbered. The board is probably privy to info that we haven’t heard, yet. And I doubt they’d take the step of launching an investigation, if the ultimate goal wasn’t to oust Vince. I also don’t think that co-CEO thing is long for this world. If you listen closely, you can already hear the sharpening of knives. Especially if Vince faces criminal charges.

PWinsider:
The WWE All hands-on deck virtual meeting was described to PWInsider as a short "rah rah meeting" with Vince McMahon described as "irreplaceable" but that Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan would plot the course of the company going forward.
....lol uhhh

Dunn should just retire now to spare us the drama. Nah, he should go kicking and screaming. Like the real life version of Heyman being fired the night after Survivor Series 2001.

I doubt the likes of Dunn or Prichard actually get booted out that fast. Triple H has come in as even a 'safe' replacement for the guy implicated in the scandal alongside the boss, but outside of filing spaces as people move up, there aren't going to be any huge shakes for right now. THis is exactly the kind of period where you want stability to keep investors from getting gunshy, to keep your partners feeling like things will still continue day to day as normal, and it's only once that feeling of safety is there that anything major changes. For stability's sake, you'll want to keep a guy like Prichard on, you'll want to keep your head of TV production. The firings and the severance packages are going to come a few months down the line. More immediately, we'll see wrestlers drop from TV in the coming weeks pretty fast, but for the time being, any sudden motions will only hurt the company more during this transition.

Whatever WSJ must have found either scared the shit out of him or this is a work. I'm leaning towards work. Even if they got some serious dirt, he's going down with this ship. There is 100% chance this is not a work at all. This being a work would somehow cause even worse problems then even the allegations like people have said the allegations probably wont put him in jail...but this? putting out a public statement like this , announcing Co-Ceos , all major publications picking this up....if he was lying let alone lying to his investers about this he is absoloutley going to jail. So there is no f***ing way this is a work.

Your CEO stepping down as a goof is a good way to destroy your company on a day where said CEO isn't under massive media investigation for sex creep allegations.

Isn't Dunn on the Board and has shares? Can't see him going anwywhere.
Bruce might go; he might retire to be fair, he seems like a guy who wont even want to be there without Vince. I have a soft spot for Bruce though, so I'd like him to stay involved somewhere.
Hayes is likely safe. Never hear anyone talk badly about him really.
Not sure if there are any other 'Vince' guys left backstage, but I dont think there will be some mass house cleaning, at least not yet.
Shareholders will want stability now, not a massive overhaul.

Like, sometimes I get the “maybe it’s a work” part of the brain going. This wasn’t one of those times.

Even just something as nonsensical and nebulous as, "Vince sold Raw," caused so much havoc with the stock that they immediately had to backpedal on it. No way whatsoever this would be a work.

As long as Vince is still alive, you ain't gonna see the likes of Dunn or Prichard go anywhere, unless they do so voluntarily. Remember how when Vince bought the company, his dad ensured that Arnold Skaaland, Pat Patterson and Gorilla Monsoon would always have a job as long as they wanted it? I would think Vince would do the same for his people, too. yeah but the three people mentioned even if they were kept on at his dads request, all three had huge things to offer to the betterment of the company.

Bruce and Dunn probably won’t leave immediately but the writing’s on the wall. Conversely you gotta wonder if Regal’s gonna be back once his AEW contract is up, or if Sapolsky and Road Dogg just got a call.

When asked for comment, Shane McMahon said "Would you like to try the new Southwestern Whopper?".
