Didn't Cena and WWE go out of their way to cover up Cena's affair with a famous porn star about 10 years ago? Can't remember the girl's name but I remember seeing the pictures of her with the WWE title belt, but it didn't pick up too much traction at the time. Not sure of the person you’re talking about, but I don’t think Cena’s divorce and alleged extramarital affairs were ever covered up. They were reported on extensively. WWE literally made Cena’s divorce into part of a storyline, blaming in kayfabe his loss to The Rock at WM28 as the reason for it.

An investigation costs 17m? That's a hell of a lot of overtime billed there. What’s the over/under on how post Wrestlemania firings there will be to make that money back? Vince was required to pay WWE back for whatever the company had to spend on the investigation.

I'd have no problem with Steph coming back. As for Vince ''being open'' to the idea of leaving WWE if it means WWE gets sold? I doubt he'd do so willingly.

Again, he needs to say it. Nick Khan saying it might as well be Austin Theory saying it for how worthwhile and believable that is.

John Cena is a bad man,no question about that now in my eyes and honestly, i wouldnt be surprised if he has skeletons in his closet that come out later in life. He will probably use his make a wish stuff as a place to hide behind when being called out on things like this but saying what he has said now, its clear what kind of man he truly is. Its disapointing but im not surprised at all. I think its important to understand that people who have done bad things can also do good things and mean it. People are complicated and usually not all evil or all good. Cena probably sincerely cares about his charity work while also doing the bad shit he's done.

Very rarely have there been instances where this person is a 100% face. People are complicated and the face/heel alignment in wrestling is not the same as real life.

Meltzer noted that - unsurprisingly - Vince will be at Mania. If Cody wins, he riots I mean, given how hard he pushed Cody before the temporary ouster and given he brought him back, he'd probably be fine with it. And Vince being there admittedly makes a degree of sense because it IS his baby, pretty much. But if I said that the alarm bells weren't going off right now, I'd be a f***ing liar.

Yeah, Vince booked everything Cody did before (and during) injury and was setting up a Cody WrestleMania win before he was outed so that's honestly the least of the problems with all this.

I can see Vince appearing on stage somewhere this weekend to gauge reactions.
Strap in, brothers. It’s the Final Countdown.

If I was HHH, I would’ve invited Vince to Mania for crying out loud. He made the show. It’s the Super Bowl of the industry. It’s his first one where he’s not running it. Whether he was back as chairman or just a nobody chasing skirts in NYC, I’d tell him to come watch backstage. To see how silky smooth things are running without him around and to let him experience the show from where he used to always be every year.
If I learned he was barred from attending WM, I’d have felt that was downright cruel.

Yeah, of course Vince is going to be there, but it doesnt mean anything more than Vince is going to be there.
There is always the chance he ousts HHHUnter and takes over creative again, but until it happens, this shit isn't worth getting worked up over.
Try and enjoy what is happening now, then default to hating it if he comes back proper. If you're wasting what has actually been one of the better built Wrestlemania's in recent memory worrying about what Vince may or may not do, I dont think you'll ever enjoy the product. Vince has broken you. Try again after the sale if the sale means he goes proper.

I swear I get the sense that some of you guys kinda want Vince back so you can be right, even if it comes at the price of misery

I swear I get the sense that some of you guys kinda want Vince back so you can be right, even if it comes at the price of misery I don't think that anyone really cares about being right, but until Vince sells and f***s all the way off there is absolutely no reason to believe that he won't meddle/take back over creative. I wish that I had the optimism that maybe this time will be the time when he just stays away but it's Vince McMahon he already burned through any goodwill like 100 times over in just the last 5 years. I've always been a WWE guy and obviously don't want Vince back anywhere near creative, but HHH has kind of been exposed as a not so great creative force during his time as the top of creative as well. Take away a bunch of returns and you're left with a whole lot of nothing. Basically they need a massive overhaul. Hopefully I'll be wrong and Vince will sell and the WWE can be entertaining and a less toxic place to work but until that is a reality there is no reason based on his history to believe that Vince will stay away. The fact that they keep hammering that Vince isn't involved in creative and will go away after a sale only makes me think that none of that is true. lol
