WWE Publishing's re-release of Matt Hughes' Made In America book with all the felonies edited out is gonna be a fire 10 page story. Would rather WWE release an autobiography on Mr. Hughes.

Well on the plus side, this isn't The Saudi's, like... that's the big positive
The big negatives?
Mergers usually mean a bunch of people are going to get fired
Vince McMahon got rewarded for being a sexual predator in the end
Dan White got rewarded for being abusive towards his wife among other shit
A bunch of terrible, terrible people are getting billions of dollars in this deal and who knows how people like HHH are gonna shake out in this... in the end, what everyone wanted was for Vince to sell the company and f*** off, that literally sounded like the only reason some people were sticking around, that he'd eventually leave... now he's got the second most powerful position between two companies set to merge, and who knows will be left out in the dust
The landscape of wrestling and combat sports is gonna change as we know it soon, this might be the last WrestleMania and RAW as we know it... I don't have the greatest feelings about it right now but... he'll see

Holy f***ing shit I genuinely can't find the words to sum up how surreal the idea of WWE and UFC merging in to one public company is. If you had told me before today that a UFC company would ACTUALLY merge with the WWE I would've been VERY sceptical about the idea. The same UFC that Shane O'Mac want to buy around 1998?!

If they move back to a chargeable PPV model, then I suspect we'll see the return of the PPVs based on match types that HHHunter just got rid of. Vince, as Executive Chairman would also have say over who gets to be the face of the company and who is pushed, at the main event level at least. I dont think he'll have the time, if overseeing UFC as well, to be fully involved with creative week to week. But he's definitely going to be taking back the general steering of things. I'd imagine that his title where's technically in charge of UFC will be little more than him attending meetings talking about buyrates and business stuff. Dana White and his crew of flunkies will still have oversight of the actual day to day, shows and such. If I had to guess it's something that Vince asked for to complete the deal and he will wield no real power there. As his title is 'Executive Chairman' he shouldnt wield any real power anywhere. His role is advisory; he'd be an employee of the company whose role is to prepare for a successor and pass on his knowledge. The idea that he will be the second most powerful person in Endeavour is just Dave stirring shit to get the rabble doomsaying (Vince will absolutely be an important cog, but he will be a cog now, this will actually strip him of a lot of the autonomy he's always enjoyed, even with the company public, as he'll now have to over see someone running a company to appease shareholders, sponsors, Networks AND a Corporate overlord) - though granted, as Executive Chairman, he could be asked to takeover in a more specific role if needed. Bob Iger was Executive Chairman at Disney following his stepping down as CEO, and was there to pick the pieces back up when needed - but officially he had given up all his power and was just there to advise and prepare his successor - they just picked poorly and he had to come back. The same could happen with Vince.

Once they announce it at the exact same time Vince is gonna publicly kick HHH in the scrotisimus and take back full controll of creative. Where's that old GIF of Vince giving HHH a Pedigree? Closest I could get was this one of them hugging so you'll have to use your imagination that, that hug turns into Vince giving him the pedigree lol

I’d imagine the creative stays the same. Vince goes from the most powerful person in charge of WWE to now having a boss.

The only creative decision Vince should be making in WWE is having Butch go back to wearing his old outfit. And back to his Pete Dunne name. I hate that he's called Butch cos it reminds me of the Bushwhackers

Dana White and Vince McMahon. Two people I'd rather poke my eyes out with a rusty nail than spend a single second talking to.

Are we going to get some Inokiism going on? Will some washed up UFC guys come up and win titles? Will younger guys get put into freakshow fights and get their credibility and momentum snuffed out?

Something that does have me wondering is this though;
Endeavor burnt that bridge with Saudi Arabia following the murder of Kashioggi, can they really go back to business as usual with the KSA if they purchase the WWE? A lot of the stock value in the WWE is taking into account the hundreds of millions a year they take in from the Saudi events.

As to paying for PPVs, I imagine that can’t change until the Peacock deal is up (2026).
