One thing to keep in mind - change takes time. It’s not like RAW will look totally different on Monday.

I would have never thought I would see the day that Vince McMahon would retire from the WWE. No matter what you think of him personally, there is no denying the impact he's made on the wrestling business. The wrestling business wouldn't be nearly as main stream or accessible as it is today. He took the business to heights that were likely thought to have been impossible to reach at some point. There is no doubt that his legacy will be a complex one because of the various scandals that took place behind the scenes while the business continued to thrive in front of the camera.
This is going to be a huge adjustment for Vince's daily routine. He's devoted almost every waking hour to the WWE for almost 40 years. I wonder how Vince is going to fill his time without doing what he's been doing for so long. Yes, I think the current scandal influenced his decision to retire but none the less, he had a hell of a run.

I do have to admit the sheer out of the blue timing of this does feel like he’s getting ahead of something, like he’s retiring now instead of possibly being ousted by the board once another wave of allegations come out.

Alvarez and PWInsider are saying its retirement from EVERYTHING. That Vince sent out a message to all talents saying he is done working in WWE entirely and will just be watching the show like a normal fan now. “Tune in to The You’re Fired Podcast with Conrad Thompson and Vince McMahon!” Well Vince would be a good spokesman for Bluechew given the allegations against him

The future's bright for WWE. The chances of the Garganos, Sasha, and Naomi returning have all shot up. The chances of Io staying have shot up. Shit, Twitch may be back on the menu! Wait, did I say the future's bright for WWE? The future's bright for all of wrestling. A rising tide lifts all boats. Also, I think Triple H will be more open to working with other promotions than Vince. Pretty interesting that Tony Khan very recently said he'd be open to a WWE cross branded show... can't imagine why he'd suddenly have said that

Vince McMahon and Johnny Ace are gone, Triple H is in charge of talent relations, Steph and Nick Khan run the show, and TV-14 is apparently on the horizon. The times, they are a-changing. Kevin Dunn is the next big one. It's always been said that Steph (and HHH) hates him. Will they give him a grace period and let him retire gracefully in the next year or two or immediately kick him to the curb in the coming days/weeks.

Vince didn't make me a wrestling fan. Dusty Rhodes and the NWA were first.

Never thought I’d see the day happen, but the allegations must be getting worse and worse for him to step down for good
From a wrestling viewpoint I tip my hat to him for giving me my love of wrestling 33 years ago (I’m 37 now) and being at a place where I was able to go see WWE live several times in my home town over the past 13 years including 2 Smackdown TV tapings, the most recent 2 shows (2018 and 2019) giving me the opportunity to share through the wide eyes of my oldest nephew (he’s since fell out of being into wrestling to get into playing football)
As a human being, I hope whatever else comes up sees him spend his remaining years locked up in jail, finally getting what’s deserved after decades of scummy behaviour

If he doesn't actually retire after putting out that statement, wouldn't he get in deep shit with the SEC?
Anyway, like many of you I have mixed feelings on Vinny Mac.

But yeah no seriously some massive bombshells have to be coming. Just a few days ago we had "WWE IS FREE FROM POLITICS AND A SAFE SPACE FOR ALL" and that felt like it was getting ahead of something that they knew was being worked on. But this? This feels like mid-week they got a heads up of something even bigger and everyone knew there was just no way they could PR it away. Some big bombshell scandal shit is likely going to drop in the next couple weeks and Vince wants the company out of the blast radius because it's probably some "sponsors f***ing flee" level shit.

Cody is in WWE, he’s the go between and this would def be the ultimate forbidden door to do some type of cross brand promotion.

I don’t think Steph and Bruce always got along either, though he’s been churning out what I think is a pretty good product for a while now so maybe he’ll be safe. Although Bruce being gone would make Something to Wrestle must-listen again.

Vince McMahon is a visionary, an entertainer, and an extremely flawed individual. Love him or hate him he was the man and WWE and wrestling as a whole are better off because of him.
