The rats jumping off the Titanic never moved as fast as all these people leaving WWE right now.

I wouldn’t put that much faith in McDevitt retiring being a reason they can’t defend lawsuits. He’s not the grand poobah of lawyers. Same firm, same people will probably still be handling most things. I feel like the legend of McDevitt is much bigger than the actual career. He's a good lawyer, no doubt. But he's not this untouchable legal genius or anything. His firm will be just fine without him. And let's be real, he benefitted a lot from going up against ambulance chasers or real life Lionel Hutzes. And being legal counsel for a rich man in America has its baked in advantages.

Triple H is in a very rough position. On one hand, everything he's done to help WWE rebuild itself is crumbling down. On the other, he could very well lose trust because of a lack of reassurance and not taking into account the possibility of Vince returning and how that could affect everyone's future.

Judging from that DSOTR episode on the Steroids Trial, it looked like half the reason he won that case was because the prosecution was pretty incompetent.

If I had to guess the VP of communications saw the writing on the wall and is getting out with his pension/retirement. I think that he’s probably just retiring more than anything, 25 years of working for Vince should earn this dude a Purple Heart though. lol

Just out of curiosity did McDevitt defend Vince when he was sued by the World Wildlife Fund? Or when Jesse Ventura sued for royalties? Or when the wrestler who was injured taking the Rocker Dropper sued?
If so then i wouldn't say McDevitt is the grand, mythical being he's made out to be.

I don’t think he was counsel for those earlier incidents. The Rocker Dropper case was resolved in about 1994, and articles about it from that time had quotes from another lawyer. The Ventura thing was I believe earlier than that. He might’ve been there for the WWF vs. WWF case though.

I'm not sure but some of those cases were unwinnable. Vince just flagrantly didn't follow their deal with the World Wildlife Fund and there was no saving them.

I don’t know about the original case that forced Vince’s company to change its name, but a year later he did score a small legal victory over the Fund concerning the use of the scratch logo in old video games. corporate.wwe.com/news/company-news/2003/04-17-2003

There really was no defense they could have been made for the WWF suit. Vince blatantly disregarded the settlement they made because he was Vince McMahon damnit. Hell I'm sure Jerry probably told him to try and resettle it. But see above

So for what it’s worth, it looks like WWE dismantled its PR department. Those employees were released. Seems like they’re taking the Elon approach to things in the short term.

If HHH either gets fired or leaves, what are the odds we see a self-destruction of HHH doc on Peacock?
Vince: I really wanted to put the belt on Scott Steiner, but he just wouldnt let me! Kevin Nash (looking suspiciously like Glen Jacobs with a wig and fake beard): Never liked Paul in the first place, dont know why people think we were friends Ghost of Mike Graham: Swung a million sledgehammers, never drew a single dime.

Literally insane we were here exactly one week ago looking at the time in Saudi Arabia and bidding our goodbyes as we awaited our grisly end.

Now I'm not saying that this is going to happen, but I saw it when looking for something else on Google and had to throw the thought in there:
If he wanted to, and since he's bought a Vince McMahon project already, what would the reaction here be if Dwayne Johnson bought WWE?
Like I said, he already bought XFL (probably for less than what WWE would go for), and I'm sure he could get the capital for it.
Big question would be, if he did buy it, would Mr. Levesque feel comfortable with him as his boss?

I don't entirely blame them.

He's not worth $1 billion, and WWE's valued at over $6 billion.
