Not much to add other than while we know that the only reason that Vince did this settlement was because he didn't want it to go to court and probably have some more stuff come out/Rita gets awarded the full settlement or more while he works this sale, but I am glad that Rita Chatterton got something out of this old ghoul, even if it's not total justice it's something for her. Vince can deny it all that he wants but the fact that she has never wavered on her stories for nearly 40 years tells me what I need to know.
At this rate the only thing that can stop Vince's never ending heel heat is if someone were to dig up tangible evidence that Vince bribed the cops to save Superfly's ass.
Vince just makes it so hard to support and enjoy the WWE. What a piece of shit, mang.

When you’re facing a massive corporation with the resources to tie you up in court for years/financially ruin you. I sort of cannot blame people for doing this.
Get SOMETHING out of it at least.
But the first thing Vince does when coming back, is ANOTHER just money payment.

I really hope Vince ends up in court with some massive trial. I know with the US legal system there's a very realistic chance he gets off but at the very least he'd have to face the media scrutiny it would bring for months if not years. Sadly, so would the accuser though.
It seems like nothing ever happens to any of these people. How many people accused in speaking out in 2020 faced any kind of criminal/legal repercussions? We can't possibly know if all of them were guilty but if nothing happens after the accusations then there's just this dark cloud hanging over a bunch of people and we may end up having to watch people like Matt Riddle/Jay Lethal/Jordan Devlin/Darby Allin for the rest of their careers with this question in the back of our minds like should we really be watching and enjoying these people.

Interesting how the Wall Street Journal keeps getting these stories.

Interesting how the Wall Street Journal keeps getting these stories. It’s very much “the call is coming from inside the house” at this point, if it ever was anything but that.

Nick Khan: We wanted to make sure we didn't give a modern payout for a past issue.

I’m glad Rita was able to get a payout like that and not have to drag up those demons and be deposed about the incident (or even go to trial if it went that far) as that’s not something that’s pleasant for a victim to go through.

I'm happy Rita got something after all these years. Eff Vince, eff his enablers and eff everyone who'll do on to pretend that all the things Vince has done to women never happened.

It's their life and their choice, they're innocent in all this. It's horrible Mcmahon can just buy his way out of justice but that's the crappy world we live in sadly. It's disgusting.

It’s HHH and Stephanie as they have the most to gain an lose. Which is why Vince is eventually going to find a way to force HHH out. It’s only a matter of time now.

My guess is Steph. I don't think Linda gives enough of a shit to leak these from what I remember when Vince left the first time it was stated Linda and Vince are separated.

And as usual rich people never see actual consequences for anything. He throws a meaningless fraction of his wealth at the problem and it goes away.

It was a civil lawsuit, so the most that would’ve happened anyway would be a lengthy discovery period and trial over the period of a few years and the outcome would have been just money damages anyway.
