Vince, as Chairman in an official capacity, is only working on selling the company and media rights deals, with the current RAW and SmackDown TV deals expiring at the end of September 2024.

Well, I guess the old bastard has to do exactly that or bear the brunt of the SEC if he steps even minutely out of line.

Matthew Drew, who came over to WWE in 2021 to become their Head of International, is the latest executive to have recently exited the company, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

Drew, who officially held the title of Senior Vice President, International, had been in that position since June 2021 after coming to WWE from DAZN, exited sometime last week.

During his time in the company, Drew was tasked with "growing WWE’s brand and business outside of the United States."

In addition to managing WWE’s global media partners, Drew worked "with other company leaders to devise WWE’s international strategy for live events, digital, consumer products and new revenue opportunities."

genuinely didnt think of it that way, I only remember Foley ever taking his right sock off for mr socko when it wasn't stored away elsewhere. (I'm probably wrong and he used either foot's sock randomly.) and it being on his right hand most of the time.

That, initially, as I understand it, unconfirmed, there were issues between the two upper echelons of management and they were playing out their war with the careers and contracts of the people underneath them. After the initial one, I didn't have much of a chance to breathe because, essentially, I was hired back within hours. The second time, I just kind of chuckled as I realize it was very much the same situation. At the same time, I wasn't bitter or mad. The truth of it is, and this is to give WWE some credence, is that I was expensive. I was expensive to keep around. If cutting my contract, if they say that saved the company money, trust me, I believe it did. I wasn't hot about that. It was just more the silliness of the situation, what they were doing, and the reasoning why they were doing it, which I can never officially confirm, but I've heard from enough people that I have a pretty good idea...including many of the people involved. Honestly, I can get his logic but Joe isn't someone I consider "expensive" for a billion dollar company.

Hell, I'd argue Roman's dramatically underpaid for his position in the company compared to any of the doofus board members or management still there.

EDIT: But that is also practical confirmation of Vince and Steph's internal struggles and, to an extent, HHH's with how much NXT was pillaged after Vince used it as a shield against AEW first chance he got.

Bloomberg Law is reporting that a WWE shareholder, Dennis Palkon, is suing WWE before the Delaware Chancery Court, hoping to "bar McMahon from the board" of World Wrestling Entertainment.

According to the report, the lawsuit was filed on 1/26 and "seeks internal files from WWE to investigate claims that McMahon “raped and sexually assaulted employees and contractors over the course of decades,” then paid nearly $15 million to keep a lid on the accusations.

“There are serious questions about how Vince McMahon obtained and delivered those funds to his victims,” according to the complaint.

Bloomberg's report also states that lawsuit alleges that McMahon's return to the company last month showed “a flagrant disregard for basic corporate governance norms.” Believing “that the rules do not apply to him, Vince McMahon removed three independent directors and re-appointed himself, as well as two of his longtime cronies,” the suit says. “The apparent misconduct here is both myriad and extremely serious.”

The report also notes that the lawsuit states its ultimate goal, if the disclosure of internal records related to McMahon's payoffs are proof of fiduciary breach claims is that, “plaintiff intends to achieve what the board wanted to, but could not in light of Vince McMahon’s thuggery,” therefore hoping to kick off proceedings that would “bar Vince McMahon from ever serving on the WWE board again."

WWE did not respond to Bloomberg's request for comment.

This would be the fourth lawsuit filed by a WWE shareholder in regard to McMahon's return to the company, which led to the resignation of his daughter, Stephanie McMahon and a number of other Board Members either being fired or resigning of their own accord.
