The same UFC that Shane O'Mac want to buy around 1998?! I actually don't remember that... Yeah, Shane tried multiple times to purchase UFC. First time was in 2000 and he got shot down by Vince and he attempted again in 2004 as he saw the way that the market was changing at the time.

Dana's gonna want a more "realistic" look, therefore Sheamus, Drew, and Gunter trade the belts for the next 5 years.

Not a shock but people on my Twitter post are downplaying what Vince did and went "You're acting like the guy is a rapist, come on!"
This, people, is why like 90 percent of my wrestling fandom discussion is here on FAN and nowhere else lmfao.

Vince McMahon is living proof that the concept of karma is complete and total bs. There is no karma, and the cage wasn't 30 feet.

Short term, it's better than the Saudis, long term, it depends on how much of the debt from the WWE buyout is shifted onto the merged entity, and who they put in charge. If they use the money raised from spinning off the WWEUFC to pay off the money paid to buy out the WWE, it could be great, but if they fill their pockets and plonk the debt on the new company's balance sheet then the budget cutter will hit hard and everyone will suffer.

It is amazing how billions of dollars and objectively terrible people are always intertwined.

If they want to change the company name, Ultimate World Wrestling has a nice ring to it.

At least it isn't Saudi Arabia. I'm not willing to pay much more than $10 a month for WWE premium events, though. I'll just stick to maybe the Rumble and Mania if prices jump.

It is amazing how billions of dollars and objectively terrible people are always intertwined. Nice people just arent cut throat enough to make the choices to get the money, and then once you have the money, you can buy your way out of almost anything, so you just dive deep in to the crapulence

No Saudis is a plus.
Not going private is also a plus, as it somewhat can keep people’s feet to the fire if the public tide turns against someone.
The fact that the new owners will probably let creative do their thing is also a big plus. Fingers crossed Triple H is the man.

OK, so let me see if I got all this right, trying to be as neutral as possible:
Endeavor Group is reportedly buying majority stake in WWE to merge it and UFC into a new company under that umbrella, with both companies expected to be run independently from each other. Vince McMahon is apparently going to be executive chairman of this company, outranking even Dana White, but is outranked by the overall Endeavor Group chairman, this Ari Emmanuel bloke. Vince might go back to doing full creative, but that’s not confirmed, there might be budget cuts, but that’s not confirmed, and the Saudi Arabia deal might be in question because Endeavor had pulled UFC out back when the Khashoggi stuff happened, but THAT’s not confirmed. And WWE might eventually go back to charging full rates for PPVs to match what UFC are doing.
That sum things up correctly?
