I'm considering looking at results. That's a first big step for how hard I fell off the product that I grew up with.

Unless AEW craters as a product, I don’t see myself switching. I’ll probably watch both if WWE somehow becomes a consistently watchable product. Things could get better, but I really don’t believe 100% we are gonna get prime NXT on the main roster. But I could be wrong. But no. Until things truly have changed, I can’t ever watch that product fully. Over a decade and a half of bad TV will do that to someone.

I'm still very much in the wait and see mode. I haven't watched WWE since a little after WrestleMania when Bryan Danielson had to vacate the title. It'll take a lot more than just Vince being gone to being me back.

I'm interested in what happens from here on out, but as for me getting back into WWE full-time, it will all depend on a number of factors and whether WWE can follow up on it or not.
1) We get to see more consistent storytelling. Better stories being told, feuds actually having a meaning to them.
2) Wrestlers being better utilized, having them put in roles where they have a much better chance of succeeding, you know, rather than saddling them with gimmicks that don't suit them.
3) More emphasis towards creating new stars and less towards relying on part-timers.
4) Improved production quality. One of the biggest pet peeves of mine (Not sure if they still do it or not) was the way they would often cut away from entrances & shit to something else. That shit needs to stop.
If they can get these points nailed down, then that's good enough reason for me to tune in again.

I've allocated the time I spent on WWE to things I enjoy. Like complaining about them in WWE sections of message boards? 🤣

I am back. Only while doing other things simultaneously for now (puzzles mostly). Sometimes WWE programming will demand my full attention, other times not. With any luck the former will be more frequent than the latter. The line is pretty shaky for now, but it has only been a week.

I answered maybe. I am going to Summerslam tomorrow and expect that I'll have a great time. But, I have watched almost exclusively AEW since its inception. That's not borne out of any tribalism or inherent preference for AEW over WWE, just that I really only have time to actively follow one promotion and I haven't really enjoyed WWE's product since 2014 or so. Really, I haven't enjoyed WWE too much since Brock's return, because I have never enjoyed his matches and I hate his absentee champion final boss schtick.
If WWE turns a corner and its product becomes more enjoyable than AEW to me, I will gladly get back into the fold. I am definitely intrigued by Vince's retirement and cautiously optimistic that WWE will start to move past its 10+ years of stagnation with some new blood at the helm. I'll at least be monitoring the product more closely than I have been over the next few weeks, for sure.

One overbooked ending to a TV main event does not negate the great matches and storylines over the last 3 years. Nor does being in a bit of a holding pattern due to several untimely injuries to top stars. If you want to be subjective about it, Dynamite is still consistently the most critically acclaimed televised wrestling program week in and week out. If you want to be objective, Dynamite is still consistently a Top 5 show on cable every Wednesday. I totally understand preferring WWE to AEW...in many respects, I don't think the two companies are even necessarily directly competing with one another, and are designed to appeal to different portions of the wrestling fanbase. But it's just outright falsity to say that AEW "is cratering."

The whole structure of their shows need to change. No 10 minute promo followed by another 10 minute promo followed by an authority figure making a match, cut to commercial. The commentary needs to change. No more "box like structure" Camera work needs to change. Can't deal with motion sickness. I honestly care more about these things than I do the booking or the roster.

I’m not saying it’s at its creative peak right now. But 2021 AEW is a very high standard that is hard to matchup to or keep at that level. But WWE still isn’t even at 2022 AEW levels of watchability for me. The real crime that AEW has committed it seems is that it’s not quite as good as it was a few months ago. Which is still very damn good.

I haven’t watched a full WWE show in a real long time, other than the Royal Rumble. I watch clips. The clips don’t impress me. But shitting on it is fun, AND I don’t waste too much of my life watching it.

Probably not. I'd have to hear pretty remarkable things about how much the product has improved from these boards first. Definitely not tuning back in just because Vince retired.
Part of it is that its different for me to keep up with the show now because I don't have cable. I can't go "oh, RAW/Smackdown/NXT is on, better watch it" and then commit during that time period, I gotta make a more active choice to sit down and watch the shows among all the other things I could be doing. It's the same reason I haven't actively watched Survivor anymore. I used to be obsessed, but then now that I don't have a way to sit down and watch it live, it just doesn't happen at all.

It’s hard to say. I’ve always kept close enough tabs because of my rankings and the rest of my family still are interested enough so I still keep an active Network subscription.
Basically, there are some things that people hate that will go away, but there are some other things that people hate that won’t. Saudi Arabia, for one. The shows may end up being better written and eventually better produced, but it still won’t be on entirely clean consciences.
