How weird was that? I get it that's it's Glenn's home state and they want to factor him into the show somehow. But, he announced that 48,449 was in attendance. That's not an accomplishment that WWE should be highlighting. It's a given that a typical football stadium holds 60 to 80k people. I Googled it and found the last number given for Nissan stadium capacity was 69,143. Now that's just for football. With wrestling, the numbers should be much larger because the field is being filled with seats.
So yeah...WWE barely filled half the stadium. Why even announce it? And they can't blame it on COVID. SummerSlam just didn't sell.

I think you'll find that's a new record attendance for an American wrestling event held in August 2022.

Eh, I give a pass on the ticket sales; we only found out like, last week that SummerSlam wasn't going to suck.
Sending Kane out to announce false numbers is a move, though. f***ing hell, if there's ever a guy I don't need to see again.

I was hoping that neither Kane nor Kid Rock would be focused on. Both are hot garbage at the moment.

It sure looked like more. But yeah, 48,000 in an NFL Stadium doesn’t sound like much of an accomplishment. That being said, there aren’t many other wrestling companies in history capable of putting that many people in a stadium for a show. Especially without a really hot card or must-see main event.

I like real life Kane even less than 03 Kane where he was a normal guy that said "AS A MATTER OF FACT " and wore outrageously slutty gear

It was nice of them to let a local man announce the attendance.

I see no problem with it. He is still a popular legend among the majority of fans (got a nice pop) and he is local to the area. Getting legends involved in some manner is not uncommon for big shows and WWE does usually announce attendance. I think some people just like to complain about him because he has opposite viewpoints than them, but they'd have no issues if a legend with similar viewpoints to their own did it.

Jacobs political views have been public knowledge for years. If I wanted to hate him for them I could have hated him back then. But all of the stories used to be how intelligent, well spoken, and kind he was backstage. A far cry from the garbage he spouts on Twitter now. Whether he actually believes this crap and was good at hiding his hateful nature, or is just pandering to his base saying it makes him a terrible person.

Kane has always been one of my favorite and still is, I don’t do social media and couldn’t care less about politics so his political views or whatnot means nonthing to me, and quite frankly, doesn’t look like Iam the only one, what everyone seems to gloss over is he still over with fans every time he shows up, so all this “we hate Kane now” shitck seems to be extremely niche.

I mean…hating Kane might be niche. Hating Glenn Jacobs the politician, however…
