Ah yes The Tessa Blanchard show Apparently not. It was reported that Tessa f***ed up her relationship with another promotion. They went from non-stop focusing on Tessa to not even advertising her.

Is this the Jeanie Buss from the Lakers front office? That’s pretty legit. Best of luck to all involved.

The last incarnation of WOW pre-pandemic was okay but pretty low rent. Hopefully this is better. At least Tessa Blanchard burning yet another bridge with another promotion didn't tank the relaunch considering how involved she was supposed to be.

How many incarnations of WOW have there been??
I even remember going to their god awful ppv at the forum in LA(the promotion paid my brother's high school to help fill the seats).

I would say the third or fourth. First was the aforementioned PPV. Second was the online only era. Third was the AXS TV era, although you could make the case the AXS TV era was an extension of the online only era. Fourth is this new syndicated version.

Was the first on ppv, then on regular network tv? I remember watching it once but it seemed like at the time I watched the last episode that aired and was bummed it wasn't on TV next week

Knock on wood it finally sticks around this time; they had some fun ideas in their previous incarnation, but if this could get settled and stick around for the long haul it'd be great for the wrestling scene as a whole. Choosing to be optimistic this go round, WOW coming back and being stable would be another step in the recovery of the less mainstream wrestling world since the pandemic.

Is this all some kind of elaborate tax write off loss for the Buss family?

Yeah, even in previous seasons where the main event scene was "Look how awesome Tessa is", the show was still fun. Hoping it sticks around this time.

Right, like it'd be good for women's wrestling if this becomes a viable place for people to go, but the implications for wrestling in general on this scale are relevant across the board.
