He is also a big politician and is no stranger to telling lies and trying to, lack of better words, control the narratives. So you're saying Hunter is going to make EC3 an offer?

That hype video about the NWA/WCW/WWE US title is not something the WWE would have done during the VKM era. WWE has not really acknowledged anything else, despite owning almost every other major tape library. Hell, they don't even really acknowledge anything in the WWE pre Hogan. It would be cool to see more matches from the WWE and NWA from the 1970's/1980's on WWE's Youtube channels. Well I think I’m right in saying that WWE lineage of their US title goes back to 1975(I think that’s the year) and Harley race was the inaugural champion so it’s not like WWE have ignored the history but yeah the video would never have appeared. I’m not asking WWE to start acknowledging really obscure things from wrestling history, I’d just like them to not overtly ignore obvious connections between then and now when it’s relevant. I mean Michael Cole at summerslam went back to 1991 and mentioned the four historical champions that Roman was behind. I mean WWE has something that American wrestling company has and it’s a wealth of its own history to pull from.

I'm pretty sure originally it said that Eddie Guerrero was the first champion... and they retconned the lineage to be the same as the WCW one at a way later date. Since the NWA US Belt was merged with the IC Belt.
