Putting this in (w)rest since it's not been a common AEW trope, but in light of the Acclaimed shoving the defeated Gunns off the stage in the dumpster, what post-match shenanigans seemed the most excessive or gratuitous? Alternatively, which ones were disproportionately heelish when it was a face doing it, or just took too damn long to set up?
Off the top of my head I still have a sore spot for Cena burying Wade Barrett under the stage setup at TLC 2010. The handling of Nexus is its own topic with its own can of worms, but literally burying Barrett in chairs really did feel like the last nail in the coffin for Nexus in its original form. Was also very much "...Cena's supposed to be the face, right?" which was typical for that time period.

Most excessive? Even as a kid I thought it was beyond crazy the reception Lex got for winning by countout.

I’m gonna go with Yokozuna causing the Undertaker to do weird stuff after their casket match.
Or
Paul Bearer getting buried in concrete.

Weekly PPV era TNA put a silly post-match thing on to everything but the worst one I remember is Chris Sabin taking a piledriver on to a chair from a machine in booty shorts named Mr X.

Hogan chasing away Andre and Heenan and doing his normal 10 minute pose down…after losing the main event of the first Survivor Series.
Also Hogan doing his full 10 minute pose down after he and Andre were both eliminated from the Wrestlemania IV tournament.

Like, their debut alone, Nexus messed Cena up quite a bit. Dumping a shitload of chairs on him was just desserts on a physicality basis.

I mean, off the top of my head, there were like, at least 10 different matches or segments in Chikara that ended with flat-out murder.
Granted, these were usually to write off characters that weren't going to be returning, but still. Murder. They literally had a character, Deucalion, whose finisher was a chokebreaker that was pretty much guaranteed to kill the opponent.

Reigns responding to idiotically flinging himself into an ambulance by trying to murder Braun with a truck comes to mind.

Also Hogan doing his full 10 minute pose down after he and Andre were both eliminated from the Wrestlemania IV tournament. The 87 Survivor Series was my first thought too. Jesse seemed genuinely angry about it as well; I know it was his schtick to complain about the faces, but this time it just felt like it had an edge to it.

Would Nailz vs. Bossman count?
I mean the angle was effective, but the beatdown did go on for a long time.

Its one thing to do it for the live crowd after the fact but to put it on the PPV?

Hogan lost, but he's ok and he will have his revenge one day. Here's him posing. Happy Thanksgiving.

I get it but it would give Hogan something to chase on the house shows... well something with a little more beef to see him pose at the end vs. Andre or who ever in the Heenan family considering I doubt you could count on Andre 100 Percent for house shows. Seems short sighted.

"Austin turning is like he's urinating on the Rock!" (Said by Jim Ross right as Steve is standing over his fallen opponent, guzzling a beer as it drips off his trunks and onto the Rock.)

Undertaker murdered Muhammad Hassan but I don’t remember if that was during a match or after it.

When Triple H turned on Flair putting the final nail in the coffin of Evolution. I believe it was the Raw Homecoming episode. I haven't seen it since it aired but I believe it lasted the length of 2 or 3 segments. Like a match happened and ended and they went backstage and Triple H was still beating up a bloodied Flair. It lasted long enough to the point where I finally screamed out loud something like, Jesus Christ that's enough!

The NWO beating up Rock and throwing him in the back of an ambulance and then hitting the ambulance with an 18 Wheeler was a little, WTF?
How long was Rock out after that? How did they explain him returning without a scratch on him?
