Why Do They Make Ronda Do So Many Promos?

It is clearly not her strong suit, and she often comes off as not very likable. I mean, she's very good in the ring given how little she's been in the business, but it really seemed like they wanted her to fail at times. Becky once destroyed out there.

I hope when she comes back, they make her heel and give her a manager. Play to her strengths, not her weaknesses.

Because WWE's mentality towards their wrestlers' limitations seems to be "if we force them to do it often enough, they'll get better at it."

She’s bad at it, but they look at her as someone who crosses over and gets attention from other media and non strictly wrestling fans, so they want her in that kinda spotlight. Like seven different major media outlets covered her suspension as legit. I don’t like her at all but that’s the sorta coverage/engagement they seem to love.

She can’t monologue worth a f***. She usually decent in a face to face situation, but she just has no ability go out and cut a long winded WWE style promo by herself

Because they think that every wrestler needs to be the same, which has long been one of their problems with foreign wrestlers, the thought that they don’t speak English well enough to be a star. Hopefully that will improve now that the Crypt Keeper is out.

yeah ronda really needs to keep her promos short and sweet in the "i'm going to destroy you" vein. this "i am so happy to be part of the happiness of the wwe universal experience to be experienced here in this ring that i am so happy to be finally in." thing they tried during her initial face run did not suit her at all- even if she did feel that way.

They don't want to over-expose Ronda's matches to keep them feeling special, but doing that while also keeping her on TV means that more often than not she's going to be cutting promos.

I dont know why they persist with it because shes clearly not comfortable. Ronda is a legitimate megastar and badass and for someone who would genuinely beat everyone in the company, she plays a really good plucky underdog. All they need to do with her is make her a silent killer. They eventually figured out that Brock was at his best when he said very little.

I've often wondered, do they have people with weak promo skills work on them at house shows? To me it seems like if you have a potential star and they're not really equipped to give a 20 minute promo, the smart thing to do would give them practice. Also, if a 20 minute promo is a stretch, start with 5 and work your way up. Fill the rest of the time with a match or something.

MK11 had a lot of fun voice acting from professionals. They even got Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa back as Shang Tsung. And then there's Ronda's Sonya. Woof.

I think she's actually pretty watchable in that movie. I wouldn't necessarily say she's good in it, but she comes off far more natural than she has in literally everything else she's acted in.
