With the way AEW camps out in a city for a week leading up to a PPV, it makes sense from a ticket sales perspective. There's clearly enough demand for them to sell tickets three times in one week in the same place, meaning either a) they're better off adding a fourth night than finding a bigger venue to get the most out of the city, or b) they can make one of those nights a bigger draw that also gets PPV revenue.

Will the PPVs cost $50 for both nights?
If so, then count me out.

It makes sense if they only do it once or twice a year. If you're going to Vegas for one night, you'll probably go to two.

Vegas and perhaps Forbidden Door too.

I’m not big on the 2 day PPV idea

Even with the lengthier PPVs that AEW tends to put on, there are still tons of wrestlers that are left off the PPV cards. When you only do four a year, that's a lot more noticeable. Two full-price PPVs might be a hard sell but if they could sort it out so they're cheaper or you get a deal for buying both, it might work. Two full-price PPVs in two days might be too much for people watching at home though.

I wouldn't mind it on a rare occasion, but anything more is annoyingly excessive. I hate the idea of having to try and get extra days off just for wrestling.
Not to mention, they only have 3 hours of TV a week and struggle to get a ton of people on regularly, how can you build up two 4-5 PPVs multiple times a year?

Between Wrestle Kingdom and Wrestlemania, having a two night show for the biggest event of the year seems to be the new norm. It makes sense to follow suit with All Out or Double or Nothing. Especially with how long in the tooth AEW PPV's can feel right now.
Pricing is going to be very important for how viable this is for home viewers.

Thats..weird.
I guess if it was for DON or All Out (whatever the hell’s considered “the big one”) it makes sense. But..I really hope it’s not two-days for every PPV.
If true I wonder if it’s their compromise of not adding more PPV’s…but shit, if that’s the case, add smaller PPV’s at half the price or something.

I’d absolutely expand to 6 PPV’s before I tried doing a two nighter. AEW tends to go into a bit of a holding pattern for a few weeks after a PPV before the build to the next one ramps up, 2 night PPV’s doesn’t alleviate that issue

Originally that seemed like the idea but there’s been unverified rumors the last month or so about higher ups wanting more PPV’s and ..I wonder if this is their tactic. Maybe Dustin misspoke?

I think AEW would benefit from a bimonthly PPV schedule. Their angles tend to hit lulls where they kinda end up in no mans land for awhile before it gets back on track like 2 weeks before the PPV. Having more PPV's to serve as logical building points helps with that. That and if you make Fight for the Fallen one of the PPV's, even a small split of PPV revenue for the nonprofit they're supporting is a significant amount of money. Though I'm not sure about the revenue they make (if any) for FotF off free TV that goes to charity.
Possible schedule:
January - Winter is Coming or an anniversary-themed show
March - Revolution May - Double or Nothing July - Fight For the Fallen
September - All Out November - Full Gear
And then you can have Forbidden Door there somewhere. If you make DoN or All Out two night events, Forbidden Door can be on one of the nights. Or you can just make it a separate event sometime else as it's a special event compared to regular PPV's and may not be a yearly thing. Or NJPW has its own version it hosts over in Japan instead.

I think this would be a better idea if day 1 was an AEW PPV, and day 2 ROH

I think they would be better off adding more PPVs as opposed to going for two days
I think going 2 days for Vegas could work but unlike Wrestlemania and WrestleKingdom, they aren't part of a low cost streaming service so they would have to price it accordingly.

I'd rather they ran more PPV's than doing 2 night shows, 6-8 PPV's a year wouldn't be a bad figure.
With 4 PPV's a year and 2 of them always going to be Las Vegas & Chicago, it really doesn't give people in other parts of America or different countries a chance of ever seeing an AEW PPV live.

I think two days works well for Wrestle Kingdom or WrestleMania, and maybe it could work for All Out some year (though certainly not this year, the company's a pretty giant pile of aimless bleh right now), but all PPVs being two days would be pretty horrendous if only because of 1), the price, and 2), a lot of the time it feels like AEW doesn't really plan out their PPVs beyond a couple of matches and has to scrape together random matches in the last couple of weeks anyway. Doubling the amount of matches would just make that problem exponentially worse.

Formatting wise, the last couple AEW weekends were weirdly formatted with them running Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday dates. You'd figure they would just run a Saturday show in lieu of the Sunday show, but given how bloated the PPVs have become, it's not the worst idea. Then again, they could have just not added those extra few matches nobody asked for on the DoN card.
The big loser in this situation would be GCW and their local partners (BLP, Freelance, FSW), who made quite a killing running big shows on that Saturday evening slot.
