The TBS lead-in gets higher viewership than the TNT lead-in did, if that means anything. Interesting. I wonder though if the type of viewer watching syndicated sitcoms on TBS sticks around more than the TNT viewer watching...um...whatever used to lead in to Dynamite when it was on TNT. Was it sports? Cause someone watching sports would be far more likely to stick around for wrestling than someone who just watched the Big Bang Theory. I know we're splitting hairs here but it really does prove the 'there are no casual wrestling fans anymore' argument wrong. There's quite clearly approx. 50,000 to 100,000 Nielsen viewers who go between watching and not watching Dynamite depending on the week. Whether that's what's booked for the show, the timeslot, the channel, the lead in, whatever- they are there to be won over or compelled to tune in. I believe it would usually be random movies before Dynamite on TNT. Not typical for there to be sports on before unless it was a Dynamite that was pre-empted. The better lead-in on TBS is why a lot of times the Q1 will be the highest for the show.

I know they have a similar reach in audience in terms of potential numbers, but I really do wonder if being on TNT rather than TBS attracted more viewers (50,000 or so more a week that would have them at above a million viewers every week this summer). I know there was pre-emptions and all, but still, was TNT more of a 'name' network for them to be on? (I know TNT and TBS are owned by the same people) Yeah TNT to me as a rural IL guy from '84 has always been perceptually the bigger network. TBS has always been basically like WGN or UPN where shows that have peaked come to sit.

I wonder if they would have cracked over a million if they did the Punk return earlier.

WBD has them cross promoting with Shark Week and the GOT Prequel.
That has to be an encouraging sign you’d think?
